Maintain a continuous supply of steel for the mill Remove and stack the bundles produced from the mill in a safe and organized manner Check with the mill operator for the required steel Verify the sequence of the quantity and the supplier to stage with the mill operator Review the mill orders; paying close attention to the lengths and quantity formulate a plan on where to safely stack the finished bundles The forklift driver is responsible for keeping the steel room organized. Inspect and perform or assist in equipment maintenance as required; report any unsafe conditions to management.
