Job Description
Responsibilities:

Purpose
Eureka Recycling's Forklift (Machine) Operator performs works in the areas of two departments-sorting and equipment operation. · Safely sort materials to required standard on sort line and table, meeting our organizational goals of quality and efficiency.

Safely maneuver forklifts in narrow aisles, tight spaces, and congested areas, adhering to all safety guidelines.
Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Verify and match received goods against purchase orders or delivery documents, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of materials.
Utilize forklift attachments and accessories as needed to handle specific types of materials or products.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, including aisles, shelves, and storage locations.
Follow established inventory control procedures, accurately recording and updating inventory information.
Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery and satisfaction.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Provide support in other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently.
Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehousing or logistics environment.
Forklift certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of forklift operations, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Steel-toe boots are mandatory.
Working Hours:
Schedule : Sunday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Time Off : Saturday and one additional scheduled day off during the week.

As a Forklift Operator with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely moving goods and materials around a high traffic industrial environment. As a Forklift Operator you will help maximize efficiency of the production process by safely operating mobile equipment to move product, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, operating shrink wrap machines, and preparing shipments for transportation.
This full-time position reports directly to a Warehouse Supervisor and is located at our Brooklyn Park, Minnesota manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Safely operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, hoists, or other material handling equipment in a high traffic industrial environment.
* Accurately utilize an electronic scanning system to include a touch screen monitor located on the forklift, to track inventory levels and product location.
* Responsible for regularly completing pre-operation inspection and reporting equipment faults or damages to leadership or maintenance.
* Prepare shipments for transport, consolidate partial pallets, and operate the shrink wrap machine as needed.
* Move product and/or materials throughout the facility, including loading and unloading trailers.
* Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
* Other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution AND 1+ year experience operating mobile equipment or comparable experience in place of education.
* Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing, and data entry.
* Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
* Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of distribution documentation: pick lists, packing slips, and bills of lading.
* Knowledge of warehouse organization, workflow as well as basic inventory control (I.e.: Amtech).
* Previous experience with reading a tape measure.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour (Plus shift differential, if applicable). The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
