Job Title: Shipping & Kitting Operator - Acton, MA First shift in the Distribution Center is 8am - 4: 30pm Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the Kitting Room Operation. The team member will perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the Kitting Room. The Kitting Room Operator is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate issuance and delivery of materials required for production and ensuring the Kitting Room has proper workflow to meet the demand. Applicable standard operating procedures and following through on all material movements to guarantee they are handled in accordance with applicable FDA and cGMP procedures. This position will work during the core business hours and requires working an 8-hour shift.
Responsibilities:
Operate systems and equipment such as computers, software and printers as trained and specified.
Accurate and timely ERP System (AX) transaction of any material movement performed.
Maintains work areas and equipment in a functioning, clean and orderly condition.
Safely operates a forklift, hand truck or other material transport equipment;must be open to be trained.
Performance of material pre-issuance tasks like Silicone Mixture preparation, siliconizing Raw material as needed.
Proper End of Shift cleanup which includes but not limited to, emptying all trash bins, boxing of returned empty trays, cleaning of workstations and work areas, removing empty pallets from the Kitting Room and placing bad pallets appropriately.
Detailed communication of End of Shift report to incoming shift.
Be able to communicate any workplace issues or concerns with upper management following the appropriate chain of command.
Timely meets training deadlines.
Train others on work instructions when required.
Usage of manual pallet jacks for pallet movement.
Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks.
Participate in team meetings and production training.
Perform general duties including, cycle count, housekeeping stocking, safety, and maintenance.
Assist other departments when needed.
Including but not limited to the warehouse (Packaging, Shipping, Receiving).
Performs other duties as required
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Minimum Requirements:
1 year of experience in manufacturing operator role with working knowledge of a warehouse environment.
No previous Kitting experience required.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/AX Software, SAP, or ability to learn Microsoft AX Materials Management module.
Proficient in business environment software applications - MS Office
Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing
Support environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Stand up and sit-down forklift operation experience is a plus.

Inspects trailers for cleanliness; If debris found, trailer is swept out; Communicates with truck driver if new trailer is needed due to cleanliness.
Ensures all actions are taken to prevent food from being contaminated.
May monitors staffing level for their specified areas; Reports any deviations to Shift Manager and Agency On-Site Supervision.
