    Job Details Louis Bork - Batavia, IL $20.00 - $23.00 Hourly 3rdDescription Purpose: Responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product materials. Reports to: Shipping Manager Conditions: Work in a production floor setting. Long periods of sitting required. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Pull and prepare product for shipment. Record information regarding movement of supplies, materials and finished products. Move product materials around production floor. Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory. Load and unload product materials from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment. Ensure the exact number and type of product is loaded and that loads are properly secured. Adhere to documented policies and procedures defining safe and proper operation of vehicle, as well as the safety concerns of people, product, materials and facilities. Complete required documentation accurately including daily checklists for vehicle operation characteristics. Identify problems with job related equipment or vehicles. Verify and maintain good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment. Perform daily equipment checks. Maintain the visual appearance of the vehicles, including cleaning and painting of vehicles when required. Ensure that product and/or material is transported in a safe, stable and efficient manner. Confirm the number of pallets received, based on the trailer lengths and stacking configuration, matches the bill of lading. Identify potential or existing non-conforming conditions or material. Load and unload materials from trailers. Support and adhere to required, documented and defined procedures and work instructions including, but not limited to: food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE as designated. Perform all other duties as assigned by Shipping Manager. Qualifications Qualifications & Requirements: Basic mechanical skills. Basic proof-reading and math skills. Customer service driven and focused. Participate in requested or required training. Exhibit warehouse inventory knowledge. Follow precise instructions. Excellent documentation skills. Maintain knowledge of safety measures needed for Fork-lift Operator. Judge distances. Develop corrugated industry knowledge. High school education or equivalent, previous corrugated experience preferred.
