Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Assignments require:
(a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

Base support equipment I-level facilities and calibration laboratories are available to provide I-level and Depot level support for GFE items. Repairs or periodic maintenance which is considered to be O-level in nature are required to be performed by the Contractor.
Material Control Services: The Contractor shall perform administrative duties in support of the units Material Control division. The Government will maintain overall responsibility and management of the Material Control Division to include execution of activity's Operational Target (OPTAR) and Aviation Fleet Maintenance (AFM) funding requirements. Position Overview: The LogisticsSpecialist is responsible for coordinating day-to-day customer service and logistics operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provide customer support at MIL's service/will-call counter as well as by phone and email.
Complete multiple steps throughout the order fulfillment cycle including receiving inspection, order entry, planning, contract review, product labeling and routing.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load/unload, move and store product.
Pick, pack and ship product utilizing UPS World Ship and FedEx Insight.
Assist in scheduling and preparing 3rd party freight pick-ups.
Operate company vans and box trucks on an as-needed basis to carry out local pick-ups and deliveries as well as transition runs between MIL's facilities.
Provide cross-functional support to department personnel in coordinating order status and throughput, expediting, and fulfilling on-demand customer requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through Epicors Prophet 21 ERP
Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories
Develop inventory analysis reports and analyze variances
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies regarding cost analyses and profitability
Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to ensure timely delivery
Prepare shipping documents (BOLs, customs forms, etc.) and track shipments
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials
Monitor inventory turnover and storage utilization
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency in logistics and inventory processes
Assist in implementing new systems, procedures, or technologies to enhance operations
Work closely with procurement, production, sales, and customer service teams
Assist with returns, RMA processing, and vendor claims as needed
Other duties as assigned by the manager
