Summary:

What you will do
The SS Machine Operator II reports to the Stainless Steel (SS) Unit Production Supervisor. Duties include performing hydro testing, running mass spec. and buffing equipment (robot/pendant use), cleaning equipment, equipment troubleshooting, filling, gassing, spot welding, polishing, labeling (Nita labeler), packaging and valve assembly, etc. The company reserves the right to rotate employees to other departments or work assignments within the organization as needed based upon skill set, production needs, etc.

Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a paper converting environment.
Experience in warehousing/shipping environments is helpful.
Experience in quality management systems (FDA, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, etc.) is helpful
Ability to use basic tools including wrenches, hammers, utility knives, screwdrivers, brooms, and measuring devices in rules and scales, etc., used in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. (Such as machine operation instructions, safety instructions, etc.)
Key Performance Competencies:
Ability to perform basic computer operations such as email, data entry, navigation skills within system and desktop, etc.
Able to work as an effective team member.
Must be able to communicate verbally through regular conversation in loud environments, and using appropriate hand signals (as needed)
Ability to prioritize and take initiative
Physical Requirements:
The ability to work safely in a normal manufacturing environment to include: sitting, standing for up to 12 hours, lifting or walking for long periods of time; climbing stairs; operating various standard office equipment; reaching; bending; crawling; speaking on the telephone; wearing required personal protection gear (i.e. hearing, eye, foot protection, gloves and hairnets); tolerating loud noise (exceeding 90 dB in areas); tolerating periodic exposure to temperatures; hot and cold, and dusty environments.

Schedule and Pay:
* Starting pay from $23.20 per hour
* Schedule of 3 consecutive days on and 4 consecutive days off
* 1st Shift 4:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
* $1.00 shift differential
* 12-hour shifts with consistent hours (NOT a swing shift)
Position Highlights
* Set-up machines, make machine adjustments and stage materials when needed
* Ensure top quality during runs, perform quality assurance testing, data collection and administrative functions
* Inspect printed film for accepted quality and complete the appropriate paperwork
* Pay close attention to detail, utilize problem solving skills
* Work within a team environment
* Ability to help out in other departments as needed
Position Requirements
* Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
* Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
* Ability to use a ruler, calculator and various hand tools.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
* Regular attendance is required. May be required to work some overtime.
