Job Overview:Responsibilities & Duties:

The Print Band Operator will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the process of pulling parts out of molds after they have been heated and appropriately cooled. This position requires a keen attention to detail and adherence to good manufacturing practices to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality.
In this role, the operator will be responsible for several key tasks, including pouring powder into molds, securing the molds to the machine arm, and clamping the molds together before initiating the heating cycle. Daily responsibilities will include maintaining a clean work area, identifying and addressing any quality issues, and ensuring that the molds used in production match the specifications listed in our computer system.
What You'll Do:
Mold Operation:
Load, unload, and maintain molds, ensuring proper cleaning and trimming for high-quality output.
Slitting & Winding:
Set up and operate slitting machines and winding equipment to produce precise bands.
Spraying & Painting:
Adjust mold sprayers, perform paint prep, and ensure proper application and drying.
Quality Control:
Perform inspections, make adjustments, and ensure compliance with specifications.
Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly inspect tools, molds, and machines, and report any needed repairs.
Process Improvement:
Support team training, Kaizen initiatives, and waste reduction efforts.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow PPE guidelines and handle cleaning solvents per company standards.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Two or more (2+) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to tolerate contact with various solvents and related fumes.
Successfully complete and pass the Hazardous Material Information Systems (HMIS) training.
Able to continuously stand, reach, pull, and push.

This part-time role provides scheduling flexibility:
Days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Shift Window: All shifts must fall between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Flexibility: Choose your preferred daily shift length: 4, 6, or 8 hours

► Key Areas of Responsibility
Operates the label machines properly and efficiently in order to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule.
Minimize waste or misuse of raw materials.
Communicates label production issues with the Production Supervisor and/or Facility Manager
Performs distribution functions as needed.
Keeps accurate log of raw materials used in the production of labels. Logs date and ID number of cartons of product to maintain a FIFO inventory and to identify any QC problems with raw materials.
Uses ERP system to log time and materials for each job.
Responsible for maintenance of all dies.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area, uses required PPE, and follows all safety rules and procedures.
May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

· Band and label product correctly as required and move finished goods to staging area and or Warehouse using a pallet jack. Ensure labels are scanned appropriately when goods are transferred to Warehouse.

· Responsible for quality of parts (consist of a minimum of two shots to the start-up pieces before each press operator's break is given).

Follow all rules and procedures related to Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Production.
Report all unsafe conditions and concerns to your Group Leader immediately.
Follow all housekeeping / 6S requirements.
Visually check the quality of parts being packed per set up sheet.
Pack parts into boxes according to packaging specifications.
Use paging system to call support personnel to press.
Make boxes.
Fill out Traceability log & apply labels properly.
Use floor grinders
Operate palletizer and/or hand jack
Assist in the printing department to load product in printers as needed.
Other duties assigned by Group Leader or Cell Leader.
