Pultrusion Machine Operator - 2nd shift
Machine operator job in Hastings, MI
**THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm**Training expected to take place on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks, then will move to 2nd shift
Using automated and manual processes, resins, various fiberglass roving, fabrics and other materials to produce round tubes and shapes to quality and productivity standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains manual production records.
Performs various mixtures of resins, roving splices, cloth splices and set-ups using measuring and dispensing tools.
Maintains tooling records.
Locates and pulls tooling and materials for processing.
Move materials to designated staging and storage areas to support production.
Maintains all necessary tests that are done a specified times and responsible to check all physical and visual tolerances set for the product.
Responsible for all necessary processing information to be passed on to the next operator before leaving shift.
Performs random cycle counts to assure inventory accuracy.
Conducts equipment inspections and cleaning.
Maintains clean and safe work environment in assigned areas.
Takes direction from supervisor; when necessary, direction is communicated through shift lead.
Continuous learning and demonstration of knowledge in order to achieve increasing operator levels (from trainee up to Level 4).
Complies with and adheres to applicable ISO standards, safety, and work rules and requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
