Job Description The Automation/Robotics Engineer will work with the Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Engineering teams in the development and implementation of automation in mechanical assembly, fixturing and inspection processes. This will include design, specification, directing and managing vendors, installation and qualification of automated systems and equipment. Role and Responsibilities: Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including robotic programs, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control. Coordinate between engineering and maintenance on existing machine control modifications to robotic, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vision systems. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems. Schedule and complete back-ups of all electronic machine control and robotic programs. Build, configure, and test robots.
