Parts Specialist/Material Planners provide counter service to MBTA Bus and Light rail employees who need parts/equipment to perform their duties. The Parts Specialist will assist with inventory control, data entry, and customer service.
This is an hourly position.
Responsibilities
Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following:
Attention to detail
Meet and greet customers
Review requisition forms to ensure proper completion (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, description and quantity)
Answer questions regarding availability of parts
Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided
Inform customers when requested parts are available
Maintain neat and clean stock room area and perform regular cycle counts of material
Provide recommendations on min/max stocking levels
Stock Room Responsibilities:
Shall perform a variety of warehousing duties, to include, but not limited to the following:
Understanding of warehouse storage plans and warehouse operations
Perform manual counts and inventory reconciliation at 98% accuracy as assigned
Perform daily cycle counts at a 98% accuracy rate as assigned
Verifying materials against receiving, shipping, storage and inventory documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damage
Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
Managing and taking inventory of received, shipped and/or stored materials daily
Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage
Removing material from storage/receipt areas and preparing it for turn-in
Process and/or affix, receipt, shipment, storage, pick/pack and other paperwork and reports as required
Provide causative research for misidentified, damaged, non-located material as required
Operates hand or power trucks and/or forklift in performing warehousing duties
In addition, Material Planner will devote at least one (1) hour daily and five (5) hours weekly to his assigned base per scheduled shift. This time will be utilized to perform 5S functions (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain). This includes removal of trash and debris from the storeroom. This can be inspected by either MANCON management of MBTA leadership.
Parts Pickup:
Occasionally drive vehicle to designated vendors' location to purchase/pick-up parts
Provide documentation to vendors as required (tax exempt form, credit references)
Review all vendor invoices to ensure accuracy on pricing, parts, and quantities
Return products to MANCON location in a timely manner
Data Entry:
Generate customer requisitions in the inventory system
Enter vendor receiving documents in the inventory system
Receive, stow and catalog in and out bound inventory
Other Requirements:
Provide support to the MBTA location during emergencies
Receive Material from Main Warehouse and other Base Locations by 8:00 am
Adhere to required procedures
Must wear location specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Required to wear company provided shirts daily
Qualifications
1 year computer experience
Warehouse, stockroom or Inventory management experience
Obtain and maintain a forklift license

About the Group Systems Team
PA's IT team, internally known as Group Systems, is comprised of a variety of areas that support the wider firm. The Role

Responsibilities
Design & Research:
Conduct user research, develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that align with user needs and business goals.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers, industrial designers, engineers, and strategists, to define and execute design solutions.
Prototyping & Testing:
Create interactive prototypes to test usability and iterate based on user feedback.
User-Centered Thinking:
Advocate for the user at every stage of the design process, ensuring digital experiences are intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling.
Visual & Interaction Design:
Develop clean, modern, and scalable design systems while maintaining consistency across different platforms and touchpoints.
Presentation & Communication:

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
At least 6 years of industry working experience
Advanced SQL and Python
Expertise in the design and construction of Big Data Lakes and Data Warehouses capable of ingesting, standardizing, and serving billions of data rows spanning diverse datasets ranging from tens to hundreds
Experience building dynamic, metadata driven pipelines and analyses
Building and managing fully automated data pipelines (ETL, ELT, ELTL) including:
Designing and building data interfaces to source systems
Combining and transforming data into the appropriate format for storage
Developing data sets for analytics purposes
Developing pipelines that can handle common issues/errors in a robust and automated way
Cloud experience in Azure, AWS or GCP
Preferred qualifications:
Spark / PySpark experience highly preferable
Working in Agile and DevOps environments
Basic Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
Data modelling - Kimball, Data Vault, Star/Snowflake schema, Query-first etc.
Data visualisation in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar
