The Manufacturing Associate plays a vital role in the daily success of Shield Arms. Attention to detail, the ability to work as a team and self-motivation are some of the key skills that are needed to succeed in this role. You are the person that keeps the parts moving through the shop, consistently and efficiently.
Essential Functions
Knife assembly
Assemble various knife components.
Additive parts processing
Load/unload printer
Sand blast/clean parts as they come out of the machine.
Saw Material
Ability to use tape measure to set saw for certain lengths.
Saw parts during cycle time when available.
Shop Cleanliness
Clean and maintain shop cleanliness.
CNC operation
Load/unload machines.
Tumble/deburr parts.
Inventory control
Monitor inventory levels of shop needs.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Manufacturing Associate I provides basic labor and support to a variety of manufacturing operations related to the production of Adventure Ready Brands products. Supports production activities in the Packaging room, Filling room, Alloyd Blister packaging, Display Assembly and Pack Out, First Aid Kitting and Promotional production areas. Related activities include visual verification of Lot and Date Codes, manual counting, packing, taping, assembly, stacking products and moving/handling various material and product. Other activities may be assigned by the Production Supervisor. All activities will be directed and monitored by higher level Production and/or Quality staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Basic understanding and function of each production line
Safe and proper use of safety knives and handheld tape dispensers
Operation of manual Pallet Jacks
Comply with cGMP requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Awareness of the names and ability to identify the different types of pallets used in production
Cartoning line skills; case pack / bulk pack carded boxes, safe use of semi-automated tape machines and carton labeling
Lot Number/Code skills - Identify correct Lot Number requirements on PRD perform and in-process Lot Number Coding verification including unacceptable Lot coding
Knowledge of the various carton stacking configurations and skills to stack carton as identified per the documentation
Ability to correctly load cards into card racks on the Thiele and Clybourn lines
Fill and maintain correct cap level on the Terco Capper bowl
Support the # 2 position on the Filamatic and Terco filling lines
Raw material Lot Number identification
Promote a positive work environment through professional and respectful interaction with all ARB staff
Knowledge of and ability to distinguish various waste, Cardboard, Paperboard, Plastic, and Trash
Assist to keep area clean and organized
Actively participate in team meetings with a positive supportive manner
Ability to work in a team environment and maintain line output rates

Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.

As a Blood Component Manufacturing Technician, you will be manufacturing blood products and samples. You will process blood products after the units have been received from the donors. This will involve scanning in the units of blood, processing the units into transfusable components (red cells, platelets, and expressing plasma) and leukoreducing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and understand door work orders sent to the door shop for building. Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable about door terminology and various components to ensure accuracy of parts and pieces pulled.
Responsible for minor assembly and preparation of prefabricated doors and components utilizing saws, routers, pneumatic tools, and other small hand tools and power equipment. Based on the line, tasks may include (but are not limited to) the following:
Cutting down heads and jambs, striking jambs, installing hinges, installing lites, cutting sills, applying weatherstripping, and nailing.
Completing tasks in accordance with SOP's for the provided order paperwork and established quality expectations.
Review order paperwork before beginning production to ensure accuracy of finished products. Review all products and orders before, during, and after production to ensure that quality standards are met before transferring products to the next stage of production and before packaging products for transportation. Utilize tablets and software for documentation.
Palletize, package and wrap, and stage doors in preparation for shipment to customers. Understand that product packaging must be done per specifications to prevent damage during transportation.
Work to maintain a safe and clean environment while achieving department productivity goals. Understand and follow OrePac safety rules and regulations.
Work with team and door shop leadership to analyze and resolve challenges, develop and implement improvements, and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities of the Bio-Manufacturing Support Technician:
Decontamination, cleaning, and environmental monitoring of the cleanroom areas and non-sterile equipment used to process donor tissue
Maintain inventory of processing supplies/reagents and other materials within the cleanroom environment and other areas throughout the processing facility
Ensure supplies are acceptable for processing use and stock is rotated using the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method
Aseptically transfer equipment and supplies into the cleanroom environment
Obtain environmental samples for surface, air, and water monitoring in conjunction with laboratory testing protocols
Assist with preparation and transportation of soiled processing instruments, equipment, cleanroom garments, and biohazardous waste throughout the processing facility
Operate, monitor, and maintain cleaning and sterilization equipment, lyophilizers (freeze-dryers), and autoclaves in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and equipment-specific SOPs
Decontamination, disinfection, cleaning, and sterilization (where appropriate) of all non-disposable processing instruments and equipment
Ensure all reusable tissue processing equipment and instruments are suitable for use, including inspection and assembly
Prepare relevant donor processing documentation, labels, and other consumable supplies for sterilization
Safely prepare and handle cleaning reagents and solutions according to SDS and SOPs and follow OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, Universal Precautions, and current Good Tissue Practices (cGTP) when handling biological material
Collect and prepare soiled cleanroom garments for shipment to vendor
Collect and prepare solid biohazardous waste for shipment in accordance with OSHA standards and Xtant SOPs
Requirements for the Bio-Manufacturing Support Technician:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Must be willing to acquire Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) certification
Some familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment, aseptic practices is preferred, but not required
Experience working in sterile environments, healthcare or medical device production is preferred, but not required
Experience with records maintenance and document control is preferred, but not required
Basic computer skills are required, such as knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software as necessary
Must have excellent manual dexterity and good eye/hand/foot coordination
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks/motions
Must be able to record information legibly by hand
Must be able to lift, push, and pull 60 lbs.
Working Conditions
Working conditions include normal office environment, environmentally controlled areas (ECAs), cleanrooms, and decontamination areas
May require evening work and weekend work
Shift times may vary depending on the needs of the department. Employee's shift will be subject to change based on those needs
May require 4+ hours of continuous standing
May work in conditions leading to minor personal discomfort such as in temperatures above or below personal comfort levels
Health and Safety
Duties will include direct contact with human tissue, blood, bone, and fluids
Must adhere to all health and safety requirements specified when entering processing, device manufacturing areas, and decontamination areas and in the handling of company products
This position will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to scrubs, laboratory coat, gloves, face shields, helmets, boot covers, and sterile suits
Will require training in the routine handling of chemicals and biohazards
Will require OSHA (bloodborne pathogen) training, SDS, and other safety training as applicable.
