GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is responsible for crafting custom acrylic screens to exceed customer expectations. Ensuring highest product quality to the customer by assembling, disassembling, and packing rear projection modules per customer specifications. This position also builds custom Mylar mirrors.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILTIES
Craft Plexiglas screens including cutting, sanding, and buffing parts according to customer specifications.
Assemble frame screens according to customer specifications.
Cut, assemble, and disassemble extrusion per drawings, customer requirements and SOP's.
Closely monitor all tolerances to ensure proper fit with other components such as mirrors and screens.
Record production data and properly fill out all associated paperwork per customer requirements and department SOP's.
Perform quality inspection for all stages of assembly process and notify Team Lead or Plant Manager of any concerns.
Follow testing procedures to validate parts.
Mix chemicals, apply coatings, operate saws, build shipping crates, and support other manufacturing areas as required.
Complete the clean-up responsibilities and maintain the workstation according to 7S procedures.
Support Legrand core values.
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.
Perform other duties deemed necessary to support the Company's business operations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for 8 hours/day while making coordinated movements of the hands and fingers to grasp/pinch and manipulate objects. This may include frequent use of vibrating/pneumatic tools, overhead and outstretched reaching with arms, bending/twisting/stooping, kneeling/squatting and frequently lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. throughout the day and occasionally up to 70 lbs. as needed. May occasionally include pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
Climate controlled environment.
Opportunities for overtime as available.
Steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses are required for working in this position. In some circumstances, a respirator may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance tasks on various packaging equipment
including picker, sorter, labeler, packer, checkweigher, printer, inspection equipment, palletizer,
stretch-wrapper and conveyors. Work collaboratively with technical resources to resolve equipment
issues as needed.
• Act as a first-line technical resource for the team. Provide technical support to production
technicians. Resolve equipment-related issues, including equipment start-up, machine recipe
selection, recipe format set-up, critical sensor challenge, and production issues.
• Proactively monitor equipment and component level conditions, and perform preventative
maintenance tasks. Identify and investigate abnormal conditions and potential defects to prevent
unplanned equipment downtime.
• Perform technician tasks as required including start-up, equipment operation, manual packaging,
batch execution, material handling, rework, cleaning, housekeeping and line clearance activities.
• Operate light material handling equipment (motorized and manual pallet jacks, non-motorized lifts)
as the need arises to safely move, store or deliver material to the proper location.
• Monitor material quality of incoming, in-process and finished materials. Promptly escalate concerns
to Lead Technician and Process Facilitator as needed.
• Perform batch records, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries. Perform mathematical
computation as needed.
• Be familiar with job-related safety procedures and hazards including PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO,
human safety, material handling, chemical handling, and spill controls. Report all discrepancies to process facilitator.

• Support lean activities and process improvement work such as performing 5S in the work area,

Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams
Straighten, align, and organize wire to professional standards
Apply hand tools to ensure correct torque
Document QC and problem resolution logs
Test and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
Perform re-work of wiring and assembly
Assist in training measures as needed
Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed
Maintain a safe, organized and efficient work area
Dimensionally lay out back panels and externally mounted devices
Mount devices to back panels and enclosures using a variety of methods including drilling and tapping steel
Wire panel devices according to provided electrical schematics
Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards
Check work to ensure error-free products

Qualifications :

How Will You Make an Impact?
The Lead Packaging/Labeling Technician is responsible for ensuring that the packaging department has all materials and commodities needed to produce the required batches scheduled daily. You will be responsible for staging materials and commodities for packaging and for moving finished product into and out of airlocks and through warehouse areas. You will also be a part of maintaining inventory accuracy and performing systematic transactions so that the packaging of future batches can be planned accurately.
A Day in the Life:
Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to transfer batches and their associated materials/commodities from the staging areas to the packaging area and from the packaging area to the proper storage locations upon completion
Perform systematic material transactions within the company Enterprise Resource Planning system to maintain inventory accuracy and support accurate planning
Ensure safety is maintained by operating equipment as trained and by keeping the packaging and warehouse areas free of unused or unneeded materials
Ensure quality is maintained by keeping accurate records and issuing the correct product and commodities to the packaging area
Ensure productivity is maintained by always having packaging materials ready to reduce time lost due to material readiness
