Summary This position monitors the functions of the packaging and palletizing equipment to ensure proper operation and perform maintenance activities. Job Description Include the following, (other duties may be assigned): Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs. Performs and documents line checks and preventative maintenance, including lubrication and inspection of equipment to prevent premature failure. Performs and documents troubleshooting, removal, installation, disassembly, repair, and assembly of plant equipment. Performs non-routine maintenance jobs assigned by packaging maintenance lead, maintenance team leader, or production team leader, and will perform repairs with minimum supervision. Must understand and use approved lockout procedures. Operate forklift and man lift safely. Will be a respirator user and is responsible to meet the qualifications requirements of Lamb Weston Respiratory Protection Program for the use of Respiratory Protection Equipment (current medical, fit testing, and training). Will be an emergency response team member (Hazardous Materials Technician) and will be responsible to meet the qualification requirements per 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (current medical and training). OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Must be able to identify and name stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum. Maintains a neat, orderly work area. Follows instruction given in work logs and equipment manual. Assist with the training of new employees in the proper and safest way to repair equipment.
