    Houly Range: $23.01 - $31.65 DOE Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, the Mental Health Billing Specialist is responsible for providing support services to the site. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Ensures the completion of administrative tasks through the collection, recording, reporting of data and information. Assures accurate information is communicated to significant collaterals in a timely manner. Processes Specialty Mental Health Services attendance and monthly billing information to the Victor Administrative office. Maintains Specialty Mental Health Services Tracking sheet. Maintains current Specialty Mental Health Services client files in accordance with Agency confidentiality policies and HIPAA guidelines. Collects/Distributes Special Incident Reports (SIRs) for Specialty Mental Health Services clients. Collects and tracks incoming Clinical Assessments, SARs, and Daily/Weekly Progress Notes from the clinical staff for Specialty Mental Health Services clients. Maintains current and accurate information in the Mental Health Database. Runs reports as needed and as requested. Posts and distributes Psychiatrist's schedule and enters the medical support minutes from the Psychiatrist. Manages and distributes as necessary all intake documents for new Specialty Mental Health Services clients. Works to maintain a team environment whereby tasks as assigned are integrated and shared among the team members. Shares general office responsibilities with team members such as general office cleanliness and orderliness. Provides additional office support as indicated on individual task list. Performs routine audits of client files to ensure all required information is present. Attends assigned team meetings and school/agency events/activities. Completes other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum education of High School Diploma/GED and two or more years of previous office experience. Must have knowledge of basic office skills and equipment. Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles. Must have knowledge of basic office and/or MediCal procedures/requirements. Must have ability to communicate effectively in writing, and orally in the English language. Must demonstrate computer/typing, Microsoft software proficiency as determined by the task list. POSITION/SITE REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Agency's Personnel Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards. Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency's Personnel Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations. Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test and drug screening test. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Have an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a residential, office or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently. Physically able to walk up and down stairs routinely. Physically able to perform CPR and First Aid as trained. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle for traveling to recreational activities, home visits, DCFS and court locations which may be up to 100 miles driving distance. Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone systems, which includes the coordination of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing and working with files.

Completion of a Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling is highly desired. Prefer a BS or MS in related field. AMFT's and ASW's are encouraged to apply.
