Material Handler Summary: This role be responsible for supporting daily production and warehouse operations, including picking and packing finished goods, preparing raw materials, and maintaining an organized work environment. Material Handler Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Pick/pack finished goods - using a pick ticket, picking specific items and quantities. * Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting. * Move product and inventory using a Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) and/or Power Pallet Jack. * Ability to use the ERP System to verify raw material needs. * Pick raw materials for sheeting purposes. * Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. * Will be trained to assist with shipping and sheeting duties. * Move materials or finished goods between the shipping and receiving warehouse and the manufacturing facility. * Perform related additional duties as requested by supervision. Material Handler Qualification Requirements: * Minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse environment preferred. * Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions. * Exceptional eye hand coordination. * Able to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks. * Able to work quickly and methodically. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Valid driver's license. * Must possess and have on file with Welch Fluorocarbon, Inc. a current DOT Medical Card. * Must annually submit and have on file a current driving record report. FLSA: Non-exempt Job Duties & Responsibilities: Perform transactions in the inventory system moving product around within the warehouse. Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities. Materials may be moved from racks, skids, or carts. Maintain organization and inventory of product within department. Understand and implement required procedures (ISO standard documents). Oversee and maintain a clean work area as well as any other area which may be assigned to Finished Goods according to our 5S standards. Report any and all safety concerns to the Supervisor or Manager. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Assist in day-to-day department operations as requested. Education and/or Experience: Previous Oracle experience a plus Proficient in MS Office applications (ie. Outlook, Excel, Word) Knowledge of material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies. Knowledge of forklifts and reach trucks a plus. Interest in getting certified for forklift operation highly desired. Must have good communications skills (Simple math, Write legibly) Must be able to work individually and as a team in a fast-paced environment Must be able to follow established procedures, and work under the direction of the supervisor Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed Working Conditions: Regularly perform repetitive tasks. Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods. Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours. The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions. Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts. Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required. Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
