Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Two years of previous experience in operating specific specialized equipment outside of Milestone or two years of demonstrated experience operating a variety of different types of machinery.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for 8 hours/day while making coordinated movements of the hands and fingers to grasp/pinch, and manipulate objects. This may include frequent use of vibrating/pneumatic tools, overhead and outstretched reaching with arms, bending/twisting/stooping, kneeling/squatting and frequently lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs. throughout the day and occasionally up to 75lbs as needed. Also may occasionally include pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
May occasionally be exposed to dust and spray fumes.
Regular shop assembly/distribution center environment (no air conditioning)
Steel-toed shoes are required for working in this position.

Hourly pay rate: $21.00 to $23.00
Schedules needed: 12pm - 8:30pm Sunday - Thursday
12pm - 8:30pm Friday - Monday (off Tues, Wed & Thurs)
Expectations:
* Unload case goods, bedding and/or upholstered furniture using a two wheel hand cart and second person assistance when needed.
* Stage and load/unload products for shipping or storage in the warehouse
* Palletize product and box product when necessary.
* Operate mobile lift equipment to bin product, place incoming product into the warehouse racks.
* Based on assigned load sheet, retrieve product from aisle racks after cleared by scanner, and load trailer.
* Pick-up breakage, miscellaneous wood, plastic and maintain housekeeping standards.
* Check for damaged product and do not load any damaged product for shipment to customer.
* Interact and respond professionally to co-workers requests.
* Meet established product rates and accuracy standards.
* You must have excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
* Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Qualifications:
* Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

* As a Distribution Warehouse Associate, the associate is exposed to a few slip and trip hazards. Pallets on the floor, wet weather, cold/hot temperatures on the loading dock and out in the yard. Warehouse temperature is mechanically heated, not cooled. The worker is exposed to cold, as they are required to work in and out of unheated trailers.

Art Handler/Driver, Long Island City
UOVO seeks a Art Handler/Driver to join its dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the art world, storage/collection management knowledge, and will be comfortable moving a wide range of art objects. The Art Handler/Driver will report to the Technical Services Supervisor.
Core Responsibilities
Proper handling of art objects, using the appropriate methods and materials for packaging, loading & securing for safe transport
Install/de-install artworks onsite or at offsite locations, often troubleshooting and utilizing critical thinking to solution scope changes
Preparation and careful execution of paperwork, including bills of lading, labels, driver logs, and detailed condition reports with accompanying photos if necessary
Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities
Pack artworks for local, national and international transportation and storage
Maintain compliance with all local, state, DOT regulations
Support to internal teams, as needed
Weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be necessary; therefore, schedule flexibility is required
Other projects as assigned by Manager
Qualifications & Skills
Team Player, able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and dynamic environment
Demonstrated knowledge of installation, packing and art handling
Excellent communication and attention to detail to both clients and coworkers
Ability to problem solve and solution onsite issues with the experience to know when to escalate problems to supervisor
Valid driver's license; CDL license a bonus
Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet
Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead
Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment
Experience with rigging is preferred
This in-person position requires on-site presence at UOVO's Long Island City, NY facility five days a week with occasional requests to work nights and on weekends.
