Primary Responsibilities:

• Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Work with external vendors, couriers, custom agents to facilitate shipments
• Communicate necessary information internally and externally as required. Work across internal

• Comply and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and
Good Import/Export Practices for all activities Ensure efficient daily operations of the warehouse
team
• Demonstrate an understanding of the company quality policy
• Communicate well with leadership, team members and other departments
Education, Experience & Qualification:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 6 months warehouse, logistics, retail, or customer service experience
• Knowledge of MS Excel, email and SAP or any ERP System

+ Examining contents and comparing with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment. Recording the correct count and pallet type for input upon completion of the PO.
+ Recording shipment data into computer system, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes. Maintain accurate counts on inbound freight to insure appropriate warehouse storage availability.
+ Assisting with maintaining an accurate inventory through cycle/directed counting. Researching customer service issues including, but not limited to shortages, overages and damages and recommending appropriate response.
+ Monitoring warehouse management system for open invoices.
+ Supporting the even flow from receiving to shipping and communicate issues and concerns. Identifying and monitoring high volume and high dollar items during shipping process.
+ Labeling all pallets to be stocked and verify accuracy of inbound freight received by comparing the purchase order with the bill of lading. Recording discrepancies on bill of lading and inform clerk and/or appropriate management of damage and inventory shortages
+ Setting up items and slots to ensure maximum efficiency for shipping and receiving. Recognizing potential inventory hazards including, but not limited to storage of raw or over cooked product..
+ Operating current warehouse management system. Utilizing necessary technology (e.g., voice, RF gun) to select product.
+ Auditing pick/reserve slots and keep rotation of product accurate, as needed.
+ Verifying absence of rodent/pest activity in all inbound shipments and document any record of activity

Your Role
The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma's Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:
* Check chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions

This position is responsible for supporting the shipment of customer orders and ensuring the efficient processing of inbound shipments. The ideal candidate must have at least three years of solid work experience with no unexplained gaps.
This is full-time, working Monday - Friday 8:30-5 or 9-5:30.
Pay: $20.00/ hour Essential Job Functions:
Pack items for shipment to customers according to established procedures
Check chemicals, catalog numbers, lot numbers, and special requests against order documentation
Apply required labels and markings to comply with hazardous materials regulations
Stage finished boxes for shipment
Pull items accurately and neatly for customer orders
Use proper equipment for orders based on size and weight
Receive and unpack shipments for put-away
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and stock locations
Perform shelf maintenance and inventory audits and input data regarding inventory management
Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Demonstrate exemplary attendance and adherence to the schedule
Basic Qualifications:
