Manage red tag area - work with suppliers to return and correct defective material
Support maintaining shop cleanliness and organization standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks
Reads and understands the job ticket and other special instructions before beginning the assigned job
Obtains and records accurate counts of finished products, goods, and materials to be shipped and for those received
Packs materials in a manner that will ensure delivery without damage, following job jacket and/or customer packing specifications
Identifies contents and number of pieces of shipments on all boxes, cartons, or skids, using proper labeling methods
Checks accuracy of all shipping and receiving documents
Utilizing the shipping system to process shipments, including packages and skids
Scheduling delivery trucks for on-time shipments

MATERIAL CONTROL LEAD QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required, and 3+ year of related experience/training in material control or warehouse operations.
· Prior experience leading a team required.
Skills:
· Forklift experience is required.
Microsoft Office Skills, especially Word and Outlook for communicating with Supervisor and HR.
· Ability to read and follow simple instructions and procedures.
· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for inventory and order tracking.
· Strong problem-solving skills for routine situations and discrepancies.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
· Capable of giving instructions to team members to maintain efficient and effective warehouse operation.

Your Role:
In this role responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Load, unload, locate, move, deliver, and return all required freight and materials to proper areas, utilizing powered pallet jacks and manual material handling equipment when necessary.
* Select orders for processing and receive materials from outside vendors, accurately documenting all material movement.
* Verify product details (e.g., chemicals, catalog, lot number, weights) against order documentation, ensuring compliance with established Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and company procedures.
* Specialize in safely packing hazardous items for shipment, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations (DOT, IATA, IMO) and established company procedures.
* Print and accurately apply all necessary labels and markings to packages to comply with hazardous materials regulations for both domestic and international shipment.
* Utilize computer systems to produce necessary documents for the workload and scan/meter product into the shipping system.
* Condense, straighten, and maintain organized warehouse/dock areas, and proactively report any unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to management.
* Shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm.
Physical Attributes:
* Push, pull and/or lift up to 35 lbs.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 1+ years of warehouse work experience.
* Strong communication skills.
* Experience operating PCs, scanners, printers, CRTs and shipping equipment.
* Detail oriented and fast-paced.
* Experience with hazardous materials.
* Experience with shipping regulations.

Pay Range for this position: $21/hr - $32/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
