A food and beverage company in Costa Mesa is looking for Warehouse Operations and Consultant to join their team for a contract role with the opportunity to be brought on full time. Our client is moving inventory from one warehouse to another and needs help with the project and creating new SOPs and doing large inventory audits for 70,000 sq ft warehouses. This contractor will work hands-on to restructure storage systems, implement labeling and inventory protocols, optimize product flow, and ensure the warehouse meets operational, safety, and food & beverage compliance standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in food, beverage, CPG, or manufacturing environments, who can quickly assess operational needs and execute a clear organizational strategy. The position is strictly focused on organization, layout, and workflow improvement, not general labor or forklift-heavy tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
3+ years of warehouse experience
Prior warehouse auditing and SOP expertise is required
Hands-on experience with WMS systems (slotting, bin management, putaway logic, cycle counting).
Strong understanding of physical warehouse layout, inventory flow, and operational process design.
Experience with barcode systems, labeling, scanning equipment, and inventory reconciliation.

Essential Functions
Video Specialty Duties
Prepare, test, clean, organize, and maintain video equipment, which may include the following:
LED wall panels and modules

Video switchers (e.g., ATEM, Christie Digital)
Projection systems (Epson, Christie), lenses, and filters
Playback and graphics systems
Video routers and converters

Engineering racks, frames, and accessories
LED tile QC, module swaps, power/signal checks, and processor boot-up testing.

Build and repair SDI, HDMI, CAT6, and other video cable types as needed.
Perform connector maintenance, cleaning, and power/data cable QC.
Document gear issues, damage notes, and repair needs; escalate to Shop Specialist or Department Lead as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment and follow safety protocols at all times.
Cross Departmental Support & Onsite Assistance
Assist Audio, Lighting, or Rigging teams with general warehouse workflow during peak demand periods.
Support Drivers and Logistics with inbound/outbound coordination.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
This job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by moving product within a warehouse or distribution center in accordance with production, order and delivery schedules, and other business requirements. Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles
* Performs a range of shipping, receiving and inventory control duties, including loading and unloading of trailers, replenishing stock, filling orders
* Providing inventory services, and completing required documentation of product movement
* Ensures quality by continually reviewing work to detect and correct errors
* Safely and effectively operates a variety of powered industrial trucks to perform various distribution tasks
* Demonstrates and understands safety as a core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same
* Understands and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out)
* Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs.
* Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures
* Monitors and documents quality measures using analytical tools
* Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Evolution Fresh Mission & Values
* Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School/GED or one to two years' experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Distribution/Warehouse experience (1 year)
* Experience operating a stand-up powered industrial truck (1 year)
* Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (FDA Code of Federal Regulations) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)
* Experience with the GFSI certification schemes (i.e. BRC and/or or SQF).

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Store purchased parts in stockroom bins and issue parts to technicians upon request.
Maintain accurate records of parts received and issued and perform periodic inventory of parts in storeroom.
Work with and support all phases of shipping and receiving, control supplies and tools.
Ability to interface professionally with vendors, customers, management, and peers.
Ship and receive parts and supplies. Pull, put away, and inventory supplies, tools, and materials.
Receive and ship UPS and Fed Ex orders on a daily basis. Deliver received items to addressees in a timely fashion.
Press tires as needed.
Participate in Parts Department general inventories.
Perform various duties that are directly or indirectly associated with company activity, as assigned.
