Provide technical direction and support to shop floor personnel and maintenance to correct design problems and support process improvement/LEAN initiatives
Oversee prototyping, testing, and machine startup activities, interpreting results to implement corrective actions for final run-off
Analyze product designs for manufacturing feasibility and make recommendations to optimize delivery time, cost, and part quality
The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered:
3-5 years of relevant work experience in machine design (designing equipment/machinery for manufacturing) required for Level II
Associate's degree in engineering or a related field of study is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
Strong working knowledge of CAD systems (3D) and an understanding of machine design principles

Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work
Provide mechanical engineering functions to support capital & maintenance related projects.
Complete preliminary and authorization level engineering studies, including detailed scope development and capital cost estimates.
Effectively manage projects to ensure adherence to the authorized project budgets and schedules.

Coordinate outside engineering and contractor resources as needed.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving daily mechanical problems with the mill's machinery and equipment. Transfer troubleshooting knowledge to maintenance crews when solving problems.
Investigate and assist in solving chronic maintenance problems. Report root cause failure analysis for all mechanical lost time in given area on a regular basis.
Supervise mechanical crews as needed for project support, weekend coverage or downdays.
Lead safety programs and safety initiatives and ensure that mechanical activities are carried out in a safe manner.
Work extended hours when necessary, down days, holidays, and weekend coverage on a rotating basis.
Be subject to emergency call-ins during the week.
Move about the mill freely (extensive walking, climb ladders and stairs, etc.) and able to tolerate temperature extremes.

Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, pulp and paper science or related field, or the equivalent training and/or experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the mechanical maintenance/reliability field preferred.
Prior paper machine experience a plus.
Knowledge of the different aspects of papermaking including stock preparation, coating, finishing and paper machines a plus.
Previous knowledge of Auto Cad or other computer aided design software packages, SAP preferred or other Maintenance Management systems, Microsoft office, MS Outlook e-mail, etc.
Ability to handle multiple time sensitive projects and issues.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management.

As a key member of our Transportation team, you'll oversee roadway construction activities, manage field personnel, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to design intent. Responsibilities What You'll Do
Direct field investigations and construction observation activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications while resolving technical issues in real time.
Lead technical components of project design and implementation, performing and reviewing engineering calculations and analyses for complex infrastructure systems.
Guide the effective use of software tools-including Microsoft Office, GIS, AutoCAD, and modeling platforms-to produce accurate and efficient design deliverables.
Develop and finalize construction specifications, cost estimates, and schedules with precision and strategic insight.
Supervise and evaluate technical work completed by junior staff and technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with project objectives.
Produce and review high-level technical documentation, including design reports, regulatory submissions, and client-facing deliverables.
Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment to support project success, enhance client satisfaction, and achieve company financial objectives.
Builds technical credibility and trust with clients through consistent, high-quality performance and reliable follow-through.
Qualifications What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
Professional engineer in WI required.
4 years of experience in roadway construction management, surveying, or related infrastructure construction services.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously.
Strong understanding of roadway construction methods, materials, and specifications.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), survey equipment and various field-testing instrumentation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and the public.
Ability to monitor budgets, schedules and scopes of work, and contribute to project performance.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

The salary for this position ranges from $79,081 to $125,530 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.

Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer assists in determining the operations required for fabrication and assembly of products as well as implementing cost- savings process improvements. Troubleshoots and resolves issues, estimating time requirements for operations, and preparing operation sheets. Primary Responsibilities
* Works directly with Value Stream Leaders to troubleshoot and resolve runnability constraints and bottlenecks, create set up improvements.
* Provides feedback and input on corrective action processes for Quality failure resolution.
* Participates at initiation phase of new product lines to assist in designing cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building tools using ergonomic principles.
* Develops and designs workplace layouts to reduce job safety risk and inefficient operations.
* Measures variances to standards, identifies out-of-control variances, investigates causes, and suggests solutions.
* Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure BU performance is within budgeted performance parameters: AOP, absorption and other KPIs.
* Develops methods for measuring work performance against standards.

Mentor production personnel in the principals of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts.
