I have a client located in Columbia, South Carolina that is looking to bring on an experienced Mechanical CAD Designer to support their stainless-steel sheet metal medical, lab, and commercial equipment design operations. This person will work directly with the engineering and fabrication teams to produce and update detailed drawings for custom stainless-steel products, including cabinets, counters, sinks, mortuary and pathology equipment, and other commercial/medical assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong sheet-metal drafting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and update fabrication drawings with minimal oversight. Experience with commercial kitchen equipment or stainless-steel casework is highly preferred. Job Responsibilities Performs duties of Transportation Engineering Associate I for Orangeburg Construction. Assists in the performance and management of construction inspection, thermoplastic, raised pavement markers, guardrail and other projects. Utilizes Site Manager, AWP and ProjectWise keeping field notes and diaries. Enters daily time in SCEIS. Monitors construction projects for compliance with plan specifications and standards. Assists in project closeout duties. Monitors projects QA/QC, erosion control and traffic control activities for compliance with approved plans. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management.
