Role: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Durham NC Responsibilities The position will serve as a contractor supporting existing design engineering colleagues in project execution activities, which will include the following types of activities: 3D CAD modeling in Solidworks, creation of part/assembly drawings in Solidworks, assisting with procurement of prototype parts, assembly and testing of prototype systems, processing/reviewing test data, etc. The position will be responsible for spending time in the lab disassembling and building up assemblies to better learn and understand the mechanics, operation and functionality of these components and assemblies.
