The Role
Medlin Treatment Center is seeking a master's or doctoral level therapist who is fully licensed in Georgia.
This position requires an LPC, LCSW, LMFT or license as a psychologist. This position involves providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults and teens for a variety of referral concerns, including sexual trauma and sexual behavior problems. EMDR training and/or experience with treating sexual trauma and/or sexual behavior problems are preferred. However, specialized training in sexual behavior problems will be provided as needed. This position involves full-time work in our Marietta office, Mondays-Fridays, with two evenings required.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:

Job Summary The Family Counselor / Therapist is responsible for providing, at minimum, weekly one-hour, home-based family therapy sessions to clients. As a strengths-based model, Functional Family Therapy (FFT) focuses on acceptance and respect and uses assessments and interventions to determine risk and protective factors in relation to the family and youth's development. The therapist should demonstrate interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and engage with families. The therapist will be required to carry a caseload of 8 families, providing services over a three-to-four-month period. Therapist reports to the Clinical Director and clinical supervision for all licenses is available by a LCSW. Responsibilities • Serve high-risk families, including those whose children are at substantial risk of out of home placement and cannot be reunified without in-home services • Provide Functional Family Therapy services primarily in client homes • Schedule sessions at times that are convenient for families, and when problems are likely to occur, evenings and weekends • Collaborate and advocate with formal and informal community resources and systems, while family members advocate for themselves • Identify, develop and implement appropriate cognitive and behavioral intervention strategies that are sensitive to the unique characteristics of each family member within the guidelines of the FFT Model • Ensure that clients files, progress notes, service plans and data collection points are accurately documented and accurately reflect work being done with family. • Be fully prepared for weekly case review and supervision. The Behavioral Specialist is responsible for providing client centered counseling services and evidence-based strategies that support program participants with their desire to end their current condition of homelessness; obtain employment; and to become stably housed. This position will support and provide services to Guests that reside in one of Gateway Center's Residential Programs. The person in this position will provide mentalhealth assessments and ensure linkage to other behavioral health care services. The position will work collaboratively with each participant's residential program case manager to ensure that individual service plan accounts for any mental and or/social development issues.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Behavioral Specialist will be responsible for providing behavioral health support and the facilitation of psycho-educational groups. The Behavioral specialist will assist in preventing relapse in conditions that tend to recur over time. The Behavioral Specialist maintains an awareness of state and national health care trends and proactively responds with initiatives to enhance provision of care and ensure efficient resource utilization. The Behavioral Specialist works closely with the agency's Case Managers, Guest Service Agents and Peer Specialists.
The overall goals of the position are to improve the client's ability to access and comply with behavioral health treatment, become employable or gain access to benefits; and to identify housing options that support the client in being stably housed at discharge.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Conduct interviews, and screenings of prospective clients·
Conduct assessment of clients' behavioral health needs·
Provide short-term counseling and evidence- based treatments·

You will also be connected to a KE Camps contact at our HQ in Skillman, NJ. As a Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.

Duties:
All evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans and reports must be reviewed and signed by Clinician on staff.
Works with physicians and other personnel in client evaluation and treatment to further sobriety.
Assists client and family, through individual, group, family, and/or couples therapy.
Provides services planned to restore client to optimum social and health adjustment.
Performs intake, evaluation, orientation, admissions, treatment planning, counseling, documentation, discharge planning and referral of substance abusing clients, all of which must be reviewed and approved by Director or authorized Clinician.
Maintains case records and urine surveillance system.
Assesses all new intakes to determine presence and extent of substance abuse issues; completes evaluation report.
Develops and documents individualized treatment plans that address the needs of substance abuse client population.
Recommends treatment plans for clients to program manager and criminal justice officials.
Refers clients to appropriate treatment modality based on assessment.
Collects statistics as required for reports; prepares required reports and paperwork.
Develops and facilitates process groups and educational programs.
Identifies opportunities for program improvement and QI monitors.
Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.
Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to client confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations.
Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with clients, families, and other personnel.
