Are you passionate about helping customers keep their equipment running at peak performance? Milton CAT is looking for a Product Support Sales Representative to join our Power Systems team. In this field-based role, you'll help customers reduce operating costs and minimize downtime by promoting Caterpillar parts, preventative maintenance, and repair solutions. You'll serve as the primary liaison between customers and Milton CAT, driving sales and building long-term relationships across your assigned territory.
Salary Range: Base range $55k - 65K, plus bonus. Company vehicle, computer and cell phone provided.
Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Promote all Milton Cat product support offerings, including service agreements and upgrades.
Develop strategic account plans to grow territory sales
Provide guidance on equipment maintenance and service options
Maintain customer profile and competitor intelligence
Meet targets for sales, profits, units, and close ratios
Maintain CRM records and verify machine population annually.
Support customers after hours when needed.
Participate in business and trade events; maintain membership in trade organizations
Sell and manage Customer Value Agreements (CVA) and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA)
Manage and sell services including:
Fuel polishing
Transfer switch and generating testing
Load bank testing
Panel upgrades and replacements
Qualifications
High school diploma required; associate degree or trade certification preferred.
3-5 years of experience in generator or heavy-duty equipment support
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and travel within territory including overnight stays
Willingness to work after hours when needed to support customers
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

POSITION SUMMARY
Product Support Consultants are a key figure in helping keep our customers equipment healthy and productive by selling Caterpillar parts, preventative maintenance and repairs. This field based position is responsible for developing and offering solutions that allow Caterpillar equipment owners to achieve the lowest operating costs possible and minimize machine downtime. This position is based out of our Scarborough location and will be responsible for the following Maine counties Somerset, Waldo, Know, Kennebec, Lincoln, and Piscataquis.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist customer in achieving lower operating costs by recommending appropriate service product options.
• Build relationships with key decision makers and promote all available products offered by Milton CAT.
• Primary liaison between customer and Milton CAT in all areas related to product support.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience with a heavy duty dealership in a parts or service function required.
Minimum of an Associate's Degree preferred. Equivalent education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an Associates degree.

The Diesel Technician Training program consists of 2,400 hours of intensive training across a 15-month period, including:

Responsibilities
Manage a defined book of business (~400-500 accounts) across assigned territories.
Conduct outbound calls and digital outreach to re-engage dormant customers and promote parts, service, and support solutions.
Coordinate with field reps and service teams to schedule inspections, repairs, and follow-ups.
Leverage CRM and internal systems to track customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity.
Identify and act on upsell and cross-sell opportunities for parts, service, and attachments.
Support in-territory efforts including hands-on inspections and customer visits as needed.
Collaborate with marketing and product support teams to execute targeted campaigns.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay current on promotions, programs, and service offerings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
The Diesel Technician Training program consists of 2,400 hours of intensive training across a 15-month period, including:
* 2,000 of hands on, on-the-job training
* 200 hours of classroom learning
* 200 hours of online, computer-based training
Trainees will rotate through a variety of technical areas within our facilities and work elbow-to-elbow with some of the best Caterpillar technicians in the industry.
Regional travel may be required to attend on-site orientations and training classes as assigned.
The Diesel Technician Trainee program is a highly selective program. Candidates must complete an online application to be considered for the program. Successful applicants will participate in an interview process prior to being notified of a decision regarding acceptance into the program. Acceptance is not guaranteed as spaces are limited.
Upon successful completion of the Diesel Technician Trainee program, Trainees have the opportunity to be offered a full-time technician position at any Milton CAT or Milton Rents location.

POSITION SUMMARY
Product Support Consultants are a key figure in helping keep our customers equipment healthy and productive by selling Caterpillar parts, preventative maintenance and repairs. This field based position is responsible for developing and offering solutions that allow Caterpillar equipment owners to achieve the lowest operating costs possible and minimize machine downtime.
