A Research Intern position is available in the department of Thoracic Head & Neck Medical Oncology -Research. The intern will join the Thoracic Head & Neck Medical Oncology research team focusing on data-driven lung cancer studies. The program integrates clinical, molecular, and imaging data to support multiple translational research projects focused on identifying biomarkers and developing predictive models that advance early detection, risk stratification, treatment response assessment, individualized therapeutic strategies, and ultimately improve patient survival and quality of life. The intern will assist with clinical data review, data entry, quality control, and preparation of analytic datasets that contribute directly to ongoing translational research efforts.
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
* The internship will provide hands-on experience in clinical research and oncology data management.
* Interns will learn how to review and extract information from electronic medical records, understand clinical variables (such as stage, treatment, outcomes), and work with research datasets.
* They will develop skills in data organization, quality control, and gain experience collaborating with researchers and oncologists.
* Through mentorship and regular team meetings, interns will gain an understanding of the workflow of clinical research, principles of data integrity, and how clinical data supports hypothesis generation and publication-quality analyses.

This national survey provides critical insights into the public health workforce, informing strategies to strengthen workforce capacity, training, and retention. The role will be responsible for cleaning, managing, and analyzing data, developing data visualizations, and contributing to reports that help shape workforce policies and programs. The incumbent will use statistical tools to identify key insights that impact public health infrastructure. The incumbent will collaborate with team members to ensure data quality, interpret survey results, and provide analytical support for data-driven decision-making.
The Hourly Project Assistant II is located in the Bureau of Chronic Disease Evaluation and Research (BCDER). BCDER's purpose is to generate, disseminate, and interpret data and information and educate and assist others to use information for planning, monitoring program implementation, and evaluating impact. BCDER is dedicated to making chronic disease prevention and control programs more focused, efficient, and effective. The Bureau houses programs related to alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis use, and cancer surveillance. The Hourly Project Assistant II will become familiar with government public health practices and the various ways in which the public health workforce affects the health of New Yorkers. Under the direct management of the Wellness Clinical Manager, the Wellness Clinical Intern role is responsible for the assessment and therapeutic services of students and families engaging in our Wellness Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complete assessments (including the development of goals and treatment plans) and community service referrals under the direct supervision of the Wellness Clinical Manager.
• Manage caseload by providing individual therapy, family support, and collateral/case management services in accordance with the client's authorization of services, under the direct supervision of the Wellness Clinical Manager.
• Provide client crisis response and interventions within the Wellness Center.
• Work collaboratively with the Wellness Advocate for referrals to appropriate community supports. This can include referrals to higher levels of care or community resources.
• Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary and inter-agency team, coordinating with educational providers, social service agencies, healthcare providers, other behavioral health providers, and any other needed services.
• Document services provided and contract measurement data in Summitview's Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Create and facilitate group therapy in the Wellness Center.

BioCMC Developmental Sciences Intern Overview

Cell Line Development Scientists work together to develop lifesaving therapies for patients. The Biologics Drug Substance division is a team of scientists driving scientific excellence and process development through innovative solutions. The team is responsible for all Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) cell line and bioprocess development activities for AbbVie's early-stage products.
The BioCMC Developmental Sciences Intern will have the opportunity to learn and work on key aspects of developing fundamental scientific understanding related to AbbVie's projects and processes, including exposure to innovative projects applying advanced gene expression analysis methods to characterize AbbVie's cell lines.
