This is an On Call position with the option to cover Monday shift from 9am to 6pm * Performs CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions * Ensures operation of radiology and computerized tomography equipment * Maintains radiology and CT supply inventory * Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs. * Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures. * Maintains safe and clean working environment * Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions. * Prepares patient for radiological/CT procedures * Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. * Maintains production and quality of radiographic and/or CT images * Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. * Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures. * Other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program. * Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or be registry eligible to obtain within 1 year of hire and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Radiologic Technologists. * Current BLS certification required.
