Keep other shifts informed of any changes in protocol, equipment issues and other functions that may impact the shift/department. Monitor the functions of the area of expertise and/or imaging department needs as necessary.
Per Diem staff must work one holiday in a calendar year and at least once during a 90 day period. Per Diem staff must notify the person in charge of any unavailability. If after four requests are made with a per diem employee declining work; that employee's per diem position will be reviewed and removed from payroll. Per Diem staff must submit a two-week notice of resignation.
Functions proficiently in specified area with little or no supervision.
DCH Standards:
Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Fulfills education requirements for assigned position including DCH Health System and Imaging required CBT's, in-services, meetings and educational sessions.

Must fulfill the graduation and registration requirements as follows:
Radiologic (Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy), Computed Tomography (CT), Interventional Radiology (IR), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRITechnologist).
Graduate of a JRCERT approved school of radiologic technology. Must have current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography or be registry eligible. Registration is required within one year of graduation of a JRCERT approved school of radiologic technology.
MRI (MR) - ARRT MRI registry eligible or MR registration preferred. Formal education or previous on-the-job training recommended.

Job Description
This position is in support of the John Hopkins research team. This is a worldwide rapid deployment team that will support John Hopkins research efforts on behalf of the US Department of State.
The MRI Technician will be available to deploy worldwide within 72 hours of notification. The MRI technician will observe the MRI scan at a designated MRI facility, and provide the protocol for the MRI scan via USB stick to an in-country MRI technician (when permission is not granted to use the machine at the site) and observe that the scan is being completed according to the protocol.

An Ophthalmic Technician is a valuable asset to an Ophthalmologist as they assist in providing excellent patient care to the patients during their visit. This employee is able to handle a wide range of duties while using equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam with an Ophthalmologist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone)
Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
Anticipate Physician needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic
Practice urgency at all times with patient's time, as well as doctor's time and schedule
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA
Verify patient's information by interviewing patient
Record patient's medical history and current medications and confirm purpose of visit
Record all data in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Check condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements
Required skills include: dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing a variety of diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor and topography
Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms and ocular medications
Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the Physician
Prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures; measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate) as required
Open and close exam rooms as needed
Keep examination, treatment, laser and any other assigned rooms cleaned and stocked with supplies, and keep drug count up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Will Do
Provide mammography imaging services.
Operate equipment and perform various mammography related procedures. Prepare and positionspatients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
May perform bone density scans using DEXA equipment, if applicable
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
