Consult with customers (on-site) on all technical support issues - this includes but is not limited to specification of software applications and or equipment requirements. Make independent decisions and recommendations
Create VLAN's, port assignments, wireless network design (creation of SSID's and specific subnets). This also includes overall management and troubleshooting of Internet service coming into the hotels.
Perform basic switching, firewall, and wireless configuration and troubleshooting.
Install, configure, troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches and associated technologies.
Install, configure, troubleshoot routers used for internal routing, ISP connectivity and MPLS deployment.
Manage and troubleshoot firewalls to include, content filtering rules/whitelisting, IPS/IDS rules/whitelisting, access-list creation, etc.
Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot business and enterprise class wireless solutions.
Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot in private and public cloud-based networking solutions including but not limited to virtual networks, site to site connectivity, virtual firewalls, and routing tables.
Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot business and enterprise class servers including virtualization in single and clustered scenarios using Microsoft and VMware hypervisors.
Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot business and enterprise class storage systems including but not limited to network attached storage systems. This includes iSCSI and fiber connected systems.
Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot domain controllers, file servers, print servers, application servers and remote access servers.
Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra - account creation, license assignment, etc.
Manage local Active directory - account management, permissions, DNS, GPO creation.
Troubleshoot highly specialized issues related to hotel systems and applications (PMS, POS, Key, Central Reservations, Credit Cards, Energy Management, etc.). This also includes management of PMS interfaces and some DB administration.
Create and manage the on-going technical site documentation.
Provide troubleshooting of server OS's, hardware, etc. This also includes the creation of new virtual servers when requested from vendors.
Independently perform file/server restoration from nightly backups, in the event of a failure.
Work with the hotel engineering staff to test UPS systems and transfer to generator in the event of a power failure.
Communicate effectively and you have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our entire hotel portfolio.
Lift up to 20lbs., pulling cable, tying up wires, crawl on floors to reach equipment, and load equipment.
