Key Responsibilities
The EEA's primary responsibility will be to provide administrative support to one or two dedicated executive search consultant(s) and assist other members of the office staff to balance the workload of the office. Additional responsibilities include:
In accordance with the Firm's brand standards, prepare all production work associated with executing a search assignment from start to finish, including qualifications packages for potential new searches, proposal and confirmation letters, position specifications, target lists, progress reports, candidate presentations, reference reports, closeout letters, and candidate and client correspondence.
Close out completed searches and organize all material associated with the search in accordance with audit requirements.
Work closely with client organizations to schedule candidates for interviews with clients, including assistance with hotel reservations, air travel, directions and any other search-related requirements.

Prepare monthly expense reports and ensure accuracy of the allocation of client-related expenses.
Provide assistance with additional office responsibilities, including but not limited to reception/front desk/switchboard coverage, supporting multiple consultants, IT liaison, software trainer, document proofreading and quality assurance, client meeting preparation, Executive Assistant mentor, special office projects, social functions and any other tasks identified by the office Administrative Manager on an ad-hoc basis.
Ideal Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an Executive Engagement Administrator
Experience in a professional services environment is preferable.
Strong project coordination/management skills
Experience coordinating complex logistics and projects with multiple stakeholders.

The Role

Neighborhood Strategies is part of NYCEDC's Planning Division and, together with the Land Use and Transportation Departments, works to promote robust, inclusive growth in the city's neighborhoods and waterfronts. The Planning Division advances major projects that engage communities in planning for their future; helps build vibrant, inclusive neighborhoods; directs strategic infrastructure investments; leverages the City's public assets; strengthens transportation systems; and promotes public access, economic opportunity, and climate resilience.
The Neighborhood Strategies department leads complex, multidisciplinary neighborhood planning efforts across the five boroughs, using the policy tools and resources of NYCEDC divisions and New York City agencies. Position Overview: The Mechanic position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of plumbing and mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. This role supports a broad range of building systems-including hydronic heating/cooling, pumps, boilers, mechanical equipment, and piping systems for the Operations and Maintenance of City-owned properties within the Asset Management portfolio at NYCEDC, specifically the Brooklyn Army Terminal Campus in Brooklyn NY and other properties as assigned within the EDC portfolio. This role reports to the VP of Operations in Sunset Park.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Plumbing Tasks:
Perform basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, clearing minor clogs, and repairing toilets and sinks. Assist with small piping repairs, fixture replacements, and domestic water pump repairs.
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems for leaks, wear, or performance issues. Replace cartridges, flushometers, valves, traps, aerators, and simple plumbing components.
Facility Maintenance Duties:
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency services as directed, including electrical, gas, water & sewer, heating ventilation and air conditioner (HVAC), carpentry, painting, masonry and general janitorial needs. Perform cleaning duties when required.
Respond to service calls from building occupants and address basic facility needs promptly.
Conduct daily inspections of assigned properties and advise supervisor of any maintenance issues or repairs needed. Ability to work autonomously but also receive guidance from the Specialty Mechanic or Lead Mechanic.
When directed, provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel including scheduling and coordinating work assignments as per supervisor.

Support for Skilled Trades & Contractors:
Monitor and report work performed by out-sourced contractors when they are performing work. Escort and coordinate with vendors and service contractors as needed.
Assist licensed plumbers, HVAC techs, and electricians with tasks such as staging equipment, shut-down preparation, and simple labor support.
Documentation & Safety:
Complete work orders, logs, and inspection forms accurately. Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and company guidelines. Maintain inventory of basic tools and supplies.
Emergency Response:
Respond to emergencies as required. Must be available and responsive 24/7 and able to help provide solutions during the decision-making process as issues arise. Conduct snow removal duties at assigned sites

Department Overview: The Strategic Investments Group (SIG) creates and structures impact investments to drive inclusive economic development by enhancing access to capital, mobilizing private investment and supporting the acceleration of EDC initiatives and strategic projects. The Funds and Advisory team originates, structures, and manages multiple fund vehicles that invest catalytic capital in the form of loans, venture capital, hybrid investments, and credit enhancement products. Intern Responsibilities: The Summer Intern will join the Funds and Advisory team within the Strategic Investments Group. Knowledge Sharing: Develop and disseminate a “playbook” of best practices for account expansion and client management. Share templates and tools across the PE practice to support broader adoption.
Monitoring and Insight: Work closely with the PE analyst team to monitor deal activity and exits, supporting both business development and search execution.
Execution Support: Coordinate with Strategy & Operations, Associates, and Analysts to fulfill data and deliverable needs, including pitch materials, assignment lists, and market insights.
Tailored Account Management: For select strategic accounts (3-5), provide tailored support including:
Research and benchmarking against market activity and peer clients.
Financial reporting and metric tracking for internal and external use.
Development of strategic materials such as QBRs, one-pagers, internal reviews, and bespoke trackers.
Execution of creative and high-impact projects to address client-specific needs (e.g., custom portals, data benchmarking).
