About the Role:
We are hiring experienced NursePractitioners who are passionate about and who have recent experience in obesity medicine to provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity. In this role, you would collaborate with physicians and registered dietitians to deliver exceptional team-based care. This will be a full-time, remote position.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The NursePractitioner is responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current medical records, administering follow-up appointments and dose evaluations for OUD medications. This position provides primary medical care to patients enrolled in the program for treatment of substance use disorders.
This position ensures confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, and promotes positive employee, customer, and community relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding customer service to fellow employees, customers, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, later hours or weekend time may be required, and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides primary care patients of the Nisqually Generations Healing Center with appropriate clinical management which may include prescription of medications, referrals, and education/counselling. Manages common health issues that arise including Hepatitis C, Wound Management, URI, HTN, and asthma.
* Diagnoses or treats complex, unstable, comorbid, episodic, or emergency conditions in collaboration with other health care providers as necessary.
* Provides medical services including taking a history and physical examination for the opiate treatment program and performs appropriate follow-up visits.
* Accurately and efficiently monitor daily doses of Methadone/Buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex) or other medications as indicated by the physician.
* Develops treatment plans, based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
* Provides general health counseling services under the supervision of the Medical Director and follows the progress of patients. Makes appropriate records of findings during examinations and submits charts to the Medical Doctor for review and signature.
* Educates patients regarding how to take prescribed medication and possible side effects.
* Monitors organization-wide performance improvement activities as a member of the clinic medical team and participates in staff meetings and/or c

Nurse practitioner job in Tacoma, WA
Attention all NursePractitioners, we are calling you to partner with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military Service members.
We primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) in the State of Washington on an "as needed basis". Our events are usually held once a month on the weekends, but occasionally fall on weekdays. It's up to you how frequently you work our events.
We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:
U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
Army National Guard (ARNG)
U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
Air National Guard (ANG)
U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)
Responsibilities:
Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member's medical record using the proprietary system.
Requirements
Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement
Active NP license in the state
CPR/BLS Certification
Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
Experience with mobile medical services - preferred
Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred
Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
Able to work extended hours
Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Job Duties/Responsibilities
· Meets with new resident/patient to perform initial stabilizing visit/exam and medically manages patients with the attending physician.
· Orders when medically necessary, laboratory testing, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Writes prescriptions within the scope of license, expertise, protocols, and available equipment. Schedules follow-up visits for self and the attending physician as needed.
· Performs clinical examinations.
· Acts as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the health of resident/patient.
· Maintains inpatient records. Compiles reports as needed for evaluations, etc.
· Collaborates with staff to identify resident/patient needs and to help develop plan to meet these needs.
· Follows resident/patient in the skilled nursing facility as needed for continuity of care.
· Provides general health education regarding matters such as proper diet, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
· Assists physician with emergency treatments and more complex procedures.
· Serves as a member of committees dealing with health care (Antibiotic Stewardship, etc.)
Required Skills and Abilities
· Demonstrated competency dealing with adults, and geriatric patients.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience
· Successful completion of an approved nursepractitioner program with appropriate certification.

· Must be currently licensed (preferred), or eligible to obtain an unrestricted license as a nursepractitioner in the state.
Physical Requirements
· Able to lift 35 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
· May be exposed to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
· Be able to perform prolong sitting, standing and walking greater than 15 minutes at a time.

What our Fellowship looks like:
Train and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
Travel to scheduled locations weekly for clinical training and hands-on experience in various post-acute care settings including skilled nursing facilities, house wound rounds, and house calls in Western Washington
