Screen for danger to self or others with an evidenced based assessment tool-the Columbia Suicide Screening Rating Scale (CSSRS) and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). Analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities.
Screen for nutrition deficiencies and make interventions or refer for a nutrition consultation as appropriate.
Screen for pain and understands treatment strategies for pain including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic approaches. Strategies should reflect an individualized approach based on the individual's current presentation, medical judgment and the risks and benefits associated with strategies, including potential risk of dependency, addiction, and abuse.
Demonstrates proficiency using the electronic health record with all required documentation. ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulation, Joint Commission standards. These records will be completed and authenticated in a timely manner per policy. This includes but is not limited to the following electronic record documents:

Assists in formulating and supporting the highest standards of patient care.
Review all level of care changes and provides peer reviews when required.
Provides support to NursePractitioners, Physician Assistants and students as required.

Requirements
Graduated from an accredited Nursing Master's Program with a Family NursePractitioner or higher and a Psychiatric Nurse practice degree.

Familiarity with ASAM/ ASAM Criteria and other indicated healthcare standards is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive clinical care for neonates in a Level-IIIB, Level-IIIA, and Level-II NICU setting, including stabilization, assessment, and ongoing management of critically ill newborns.
Collaborate closely with neonatologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Support neonatal resuscitation and advanced ventilator management utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and protocols.
Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and policy development to enhance patient outcomes.
Engage actively in the hospital's NICU Family Support program, including providing education and resources to families with critically ill infants.
Contribute to the training and mentorship of new graduate NNPs and staff through participation in residency and continuing education programs.
Utilize advanced monitoring systems such as Angel Eye to facilitate family engagement and oversight of neonatal care from remote locations.
Qualifications:
Current Board Certification as a Neonatal NursePractitioner (must possess NB Certificate; PAs, FNPs, PNPs, or other NP certifications are not accepted).
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; prior NICU experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Active state licensure as an NNP in Missouri or eligible for licensure.
