In this role the Certified Nursing Assistant will:
Reports directly to the nurse manager, may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
Position also assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
Position is service in nature, in performance of duties the resident care assistant is entrusted to assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment.

Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks observant of patients' conditions improving or declining and accept coaching well. You know we're all continuously trying to become better care providers and you're eager to learn.

Job Requirements
* High school education
* Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program
* Current Certified Nurse Assistant certification (CT NA)
* CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Six (6) months recent hospital experience as a CNA
Special Skills:
* Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and writing; clearly concisely and accurately
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
* Ability to operate common office equipment including computers
* Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures
