We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on HVAC engineering and design. The ideal candidate will support projects involving but not limited to building HVAC systems, process ventilation, clean rooms, hazardous (classified) location pressurization etc. Experience with Dust Control, Plumbing and/or Fire Protection systems is highly desirable but not required. This role involves developing design drawings, equipment specifications, working closely with other engineering disciplines, interacting directly with clients and performing field design work.
Education/Experience
Minimum of five years of experience in HVAC engineering and design; Industrial HVAC experience is strongly preferred (i.e. chemical plant, manufacturing, warehouse, etc).
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Experience in dust collection, plumbing or fire protection is a plus.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and Navisworks is a plus.
HVAC Engineering & Design (Primary Focus):
Assume overall responsibility for HVAC work on assigned projects.
Develop HVAC system designs for industrial and chemical plants and related office facilities.
Design process area ventilation and pressurization systems for hazardous locations to support safe handling and processing of chemicals.
Perform heating and cooling load calculations. Select and size HVAC equipment.
Evaluate existing building ventilation and recommend system improvements.
Prepare equipment specifications and develop HVAC layouts.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and clients.
Develop HVAC cost estimates for different project stage gates (front-end loading).
Perform field work by obtaining information, making field sketches and verifying drawings.
Dust Control Engineering & Designer (a strong plus if already experienced):
Design dust collection systems tailored for specific process application including but not limited to nuisance dust and combustible dust.
Prepare equipment specifications and develop duct layouts.
Plumbing (Experience not required, but beneficial):
Design and develop layouts for potable water distribution systems, sanitary wastewater systems, stormwater drain piping systems and process sewer systems.
Prepare equipment specifications for tempered water heating systems, safety shower and eyewash stations.
Fire Protection (Experience not required, but beneficial):
Evaluate hazards and determine the required fire protection coverage and density.
Develop a coverage plan for the fire protection contractor.

Review returned approval drawings. Implement necessary changes and resubmit or release jobs to the fan plant for fabrication.
Provide sales drawings in support of the sales department during fan quotation stage.
Calculate and size welds, bolts, bearings, hubs, blade thickness, shaft sizes, etc.
Select drives, couplings, vibration isolators, and seals for special applications.
Select/confirm proper resin, metal or thermoplastic material of construction to meet process conditions or specifications.
Ensure the integrity of engineering design… be the expert!
Interface with customers and sales representatives answering questions related to fan selection, design, and performance.
Address vendor and customer questions from equipment approval stage through manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot field problem(s) and recommend corrections.
Retrofit old and new blowers including competition.
Develop equipment training, installation, operating & maintenance manuals.
Develop and update designs in the engineering standards book.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Manage customer projects, following life cycle to release, adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Additional Responsibilities:
Travel to customer's job sites to perform fan startup and training (15% of the time)
Field troubleshooting of fan installation.
Get involved with ASHRAE, AMCA/ANSI, ISO, etc.
Run Modal & FEA analysis.
Computational fluid analysis.

Required Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience working in the air movement industry (industrial fans or rotating equipment)
Knowledge of SolidWorks software is required.
This person must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, general project management skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Must have good communication skills and work well with others.
Knowledge of moving and rotating machinery.
Knowledge of fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) as it pertains to fans and blowers.
Knowledge of fluid flow.
Familiarity with different chemicals and metal alloys is a plus.
Ability to theoretically calculate stresses in steel members as well as sizing bolts, welds, bearings, and different power transmission systems.
Ability to work with customer specifications.
Ability to interpret and apply different specifications to the design and selection of fans and blowers.

Position Summary
As a Polymer Science & Engineering Co-op, you will gain hands-on exposure to how polymers and materials contribute to product performance, testing, and innovation. You will work with our R&D and engineering teams to learn about vinyl and related polymers, their properties, and their role in our siding and window product lines.
This role offers broad experience across both the scientific and applied sides of product development, with opportunities to contribute to ongoing projects while building technical and professional skills.

As an Entry Level **_Civil Engineer_** **_I_** in Water Collections Systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of water collection systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and grow within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with collection systems, drainage infrastructure, and waterways. Background understanding of hydraulics is a plus. The individual must work well as a part of a team on a daily basis including site visits and confined space entries. The position requires attention to detail, self-motivation, critical engineering thought, and schedule management.
This position will work out of our **_Mentor, OH_** office.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the design and development of water collection systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
+ Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
+ Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for project submissions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution.
+ Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as needed.
+ Perform data analysis and modeling to support engineering decisions.
+ Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices in all project activities.
+ Field conditions assessment, Confined Space Entry participation, flow monitoring and other field data collection and review.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, hydraulic modeling software).
+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
+ Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 80 lbs.
+ Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

+ 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
+ Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

+ Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
+ Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
+ .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
+ 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
+ 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
+ Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:
New York City Metro Area:
$77,600.00 - $113,300.00
Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:
$69,100.00 - $100,700.00
* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
