This is skilled trades work performing preventive maintenance work (scheduled maintenance, inspection) and emergency repairs on building mechanical systems and related equipment such as plumbing and electrical. OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION Possession of (or the ability to possess within three 3 months of hire) an Orleans Parish 2nd class Stationary Engineer's Certificate for steam boilers and at a minimum a 2nd class Stationary Engineer's Certificate for air conditioning. This role reports to the Ship Design Director and will be responsible for managing all engineering activities throughout the program lifecycle for assigned program(s). Some of your daily functions will include: Responsible for organizing engineering team to meet program technical, schedule, and cost requirements to assigned program(s). Defines, develops, and reviews detailed schedules, metrics, and management tools to support contract milestones and deliverables.
