Key Responsibilities
PCB Design & Hardware Development
Design and develop PCBAs for electromechanical components including switch assemblies and cable assemblies.
Perform schematic design, BOM creation, and updates for PCBAs.
Support board bring-up, debugging, and board revisions.
Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, DFM, and implement design improvements.
Develop low-level embedded drivers for on-board peripherals and motor control.
Supplier Collaboration & Qualification
Work closely with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and performance targets.
Lead and monitor component qualification activities with suppliers.
Communicate design requirements and process capability expectations effectively.
Act as a technical liaison between suppliers and internal design teams.
Manufacturing & Process Engineering
Apply Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and establish calibration requirements.
Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE), process stability, control, and capability studies.
Support process characterization, manufacturing readiness, and equipment development.
Lead design transfer from development to manufacturing.
Testing & Validation (Test Engineering Scope)
Write and execute module-level test plans.
Develop engineering studies for board-level and device-level testing.
Create test specifications for ICT (In-Circuit Test) and FCT (Functional Circuit Test).
Review and approve hardware and fixture designs for functional testers.
Support ICT/FCT qualification and deployment at manufacturing plants.
Troubleshoot test issues and resolve technical roadblocks during deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in PCB design and board bring-up.
Hands-on knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DOE, MSA, and process capability methods.
Experience working with ICT/FCT test development and qualification.
Familiarity with embedded systems and low-level driver development.
Strong supplier management and cross-functional communication skills.
Experience in regulated industries (medical devices preferred).
