Design roller chain components, assemblies, and accessories in solid modelling or equivalent software using established industry GD&T principles.
Perform product-related contract review on new customer orders and product configurations.
Define performance criteria for roller chain designs, including key properties such as dimensions, materials, hardness, etc.
Generate component and assembly manufacturing routings.
Evaluate existing roller chain product for quality, performance, and cost improvement. Facilitate engineering changes to support improvements, and train employees as needed.
Write and maintain specifications for the various roller chain product lines, and control per the ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
Write and facilitate qualification plans for new product designs and adaptations to ensure that planned changes meet their intended acceptance criteria. Include, as necessary, statistical methods and design of experiments methodology.
Provide technical support to both external customers (salesmen, distributors, end-users) and internal customers (production, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, planning)
Provide product engineering training for a variety of audiences including employees, customers, and sales.
Lead or support internal improvement projects. Continuously improve the operation.
Participate in quality and safety audits to ensure conformity to ISO and OSHA regulations.
Facilitate Design Review meetings with manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and production departments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Three plus years of related experience

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Key Functions
Initiate, prepare, review, develop, track, and distribute submittals and RFIs through Procore.
Track file documentation (e.g., correspondence, reports, etc.) in Procore daily to follow-up on and/or summarize project issues, agreements, communications with owners and subcontractors, etc.
Reconcile paperwork with the Owner's Field Rep to ensure accurate and proper completion of timesheets.
Engage the work crews in conversation on both the technical and safety aspects of the job.
Confirm installation is in accordance with specification and/or manufacturers' recommendation.
Conduct daily log entries. Ensure progress photos are taken, cut sheets, field drawing marked up, T&E sheets verified/signed (if any), and constructed field measurements are completed daily.
Interface with Cost Engineer to track invoices and receipts for field purchase orders and maintain field purchase order files and documentation.
Coordinate fabrication and delivery of materials with project CPM, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
Interface with Cost Engineer to code and approve PO invoices, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Project Support team.
Review and submit quantities to owner for approval.
Assist the Project Manager in budget analysis and cost projections.
Assist in management of all subcontractors.
Gather and submit closeout documentation.
Assist Project Manager with projections and costs to complete.
Desired Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably Civil Engineering.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.

Perform additional fire and life safety inspections as per NFPA and local jurisdiction, C&W standards, building protocol and as directed by superiors and property management

Position Detail:
We currently have an opening for an experienced Mechanical Engineer at our New Milford, CT location. This is a hybrid position.
Reporting to the Engineering and Construction Manager, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for serving as the project manager and/or project lead to carry out assignments associated primarily in mechanical engineering in support of FirstLight's hydroelectric generating station equipment and facilities. Work assignments will include projects located throughout FirstLight's US operating sites.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Provide leadership for assigned CAPEX and major maintenance projects;
Perform engineering design and analysis work for modifications to existing plant equipment and for new plant equipment;
Respond to requests for engineering/technical assistance from other departments;
Recommend corrective actions and improvements based on review of operational, maintenance, and failure data;
Prepare and/or review technical studies and reports;
Prepare cost-benefit analyses in support of proposed engineering assignments;
Prepare job specifications, RFPs and evaluate proposals for contractor and consultant services and/or equipment purchases;
Coordinate personnel, develop schedules, and evaluate work plans required to support engineering assignments;
Provide oversight of contractors and consultants working on assigned projects;
Develop a thorough understanding of generating station principles of operation and maintenance as required to successfully inspect and maintain facility equipment;
Perform inspections and refine inspection protocols to evaluate the condition of facility equipment to recommend repairs and maintenance schedules;
Support FERC civil, environmental, public safety, and operational requirements;
Ensure assignments meet quality standards, regulatory requirements and are completed on time and within budget;
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
Complies and enforces all FirstLight policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required;
3+ years' experience in the power generation or related industry;
Experience in power plant systems, component design, project management and FERC Dam Safety is preferred;
Registered Professional Engineer designation is preferred;
High standard of technical competence;
Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory criteria and industry codes, standards, and general engineering practices;
Ability to analyze information, determine relevant facts, and make decisions in a timely and cost-effective manner;
Strong initiative and the ability to work with minimum supervision;
Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects;;
Effective clear and concise communication skills;
Familiarity working with various levels of the organization and with counterparts in industry and government organizations;

Triumph Engine Control Systems' Electronics Engineering department is looking to fill a position for a FPGA/PLD Electronics Design Engineer in our West Hartford, CT location. Our Design Engineers develop custom solutions for a variety of Electronic Engine Control applications used to perform actuator controls, motor controls, mechanical sensor interfacing, fuel regulation, digital communication, programmable logic design, and input power conditioning, to name a few.
The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills, be comfortable communicating with internal and external customers, must be self-motivated and possess good interpersonal/team skills.
Experience with designing Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC), Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and other Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) is required. Knowledge of RTCA DO-254 Standard for Airborne Electronic Systems is recommended.
The candidate must be able to use various CAD tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics-DxDesigner, PADs 9.X thru VX, Hyperlinx, etc.), generate various documents related to requirements, design, validation, plans, procedures… be able to author technical reports, and work with lab equipment including meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, programmers, and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities
The FPGA/PLD Electronics Design Engineer shall execute various technical aspects of a given program while ensuring that cost and schedule objectives are being met. Detailed responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with other cross-functional team leads and engineers to plan and execute projects
* Ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical requirements, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively.
* Able to establish realistic estimates for completing tasks or projects, to meet customer and internal deliverables.
* Perform requirements development, allocation, and compliance assessment
* Generate block diagrams for various PLD/FPGA & Digital design concepts and circuit topologies
* Prepare for & Conduct SOI audits, Internal & Customer Design Reviews;

Qualifications
