Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager. The Product Engineer will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials for our product lines. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of our BOMs throughout the product lifecycle. This position also supports the Engineering team and projects, including NPI.to ensure customer satisfaction and to deliver maximum advantage to the business.
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM)for our product lines using Agile PLM and Baan ERP system, incorporating engineering specifications, design changes, and component requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure BOMs accurately reflect product designs and configurations developed in CAD systems like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Work closely with Procurement to manage component inventory levels within Baan ERP and ensure availability of materials for production and prototyping.
Conduct regular audits of BOMs within Agile PLM and Baan ERP to identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Support manufacturing operations by providing accurate BOM information from Agile PLM for production planning and scheduling.
Participate in cross-functional teams to address BOM-related issues within Agile PLM and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain documentation related to BOMs within Agile PLM, including revision control and change management processes.
Stay informed about industry standards and best practices related to BOM management and documentation within Agile PLM.
Execute engineering change orders and update product data
Assist with preparation of engineering documents including drawings, specifications, process documentation and assembly instructions.
Maintain records and files for all completed engineering work in both electronic and paper versions as required.
Assist with 5S programs.
Assist other functional areas as directed.

Overview of this Position:

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Provide technical support for HVAC and piping projects throughout GRAM, including assessing current building conditions, and determining appropriate recommended measures and designing and managing projects to address.
Responsible for the building automation and management systems, along with most mechanical and qualified utilities systems such as Water for Injection (WFI) and pure steam.
Manage projects, supervise construction activities, and prepare turnover documentation and as-built drawings.
Consult on HVAC system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and work with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters.
Write and edit Operation and Maintenance procedures for equipment and engineering processes.
Study equipment performance for facilities and utilities operation and make adjustments or devise enhancements to optimize.
Write user requirements specifications for systems and equipment.
Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance work in consult with maintenance staff.

ABOUT THE JOB
SUMMARY
The Associate Product Engineer supports existing product designs and implements engineering changes of low to moderate complexity. This role primarily focuses on mechanical engineering, with opportunities to learn basic electrical troubleshooting. As part of a global engineering and quality team serving RV, marine, automotive, and office furniture markets, the Associate Product Engineer collaborates with sales, quality, purchasing, and marketing teams to ensure product integrity and continuous improvement.
CORE DUTIES
Coordinate and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and related documentation.
Evaluate technical, timing, and cost implications of design changes.
Assess impact of changes on certifications and product listings.
Support validation plans and testing activities.
Partner with Quality team to investigate and resolve product failures.
Assist Project Engineers with prototype development and testing.
Maintain project timelines and tasks within the Project Management system.
Prepare and organize PDM documentation for ECRs.
Update 2D/3D CAD drawings as needed.
Collaborate with global engineering and quality teams.
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Other duties as required.

Work with CAD designer to create drawings while verifying the accuracy of the drawings.
Work closely with application and test engineers on DVP&R development and execution.

Participate in design reviews to ensure accurate tolerance stacks are prepared both for dimensional and geometric tolerances', that appropriate modeling has been performed with acceptable results, lessons learned are reviewed, and design guidelines are used.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizen between the ages of 19 and 29. Exceptions may be possible up to age 40.
Graduate or current student pursuing a B.A., B.S. or M.S. (preferably major in mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry or other technical areas).
Those still in school may apply as early as 18 months from completion of an undergraduate degree for Naval Reactors Engineers.
Applicants may also join the NUPOC program as early as 12 months from completion of a master's degree.
Additional academic requirements include:
Completed one academic year of calculus
Completed one academic year of calculus-based physics
A competitive GPA and a minimum grade of "B" in all technical courses
