Individual needed to perform a variety of semi-skilled trades work and operate heavy machinery including trucks, tractors, front-end loaders, etc. Duties include painting, carpentry, concrete work; clearing ditches, catch basins, culverts, storm sewers, and other drainage structures; loading and unloading stone, gravel, dirt, asphalt, limbs, trash, and heavy mechanical equipment; mowing greenways, parks and cleaning grounds; clearing debris and trees after storms; operating and using chainsaws, trimers, and hand tools; and operating snowplows. Individual selected will also plant, water, and assist in the care of shrubs, trees, grass, etc.
Position requires graduation from high school or possession of a GED and some related work experience. Physical agility to perform the essential functions of the position is also required. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience performing semi-skilled maintenance, construction, or trades work. Prior experience operating heavy machinery and possession of a CDL license is also preferred but not required. Possession of a DOT medical card is a plus and an employment offer is subject to completion of a pre-employment physical and eligibility to obtain a DOT medical card.

Preferred candidates will have experience in metal stamping/industrial equipment, set-up/operation of progressive stamping presses; material handling; documentation skills; basic safety; lifting; quality assurance; ability to read and understand blueprints, control plans and work instructions.
Preferred candidates are 'highly motivated', 'self-starters' with 'excellent attendance' who are willing to work over-time to meet changing customer demand and are flexible in regards to work schedule.
Job training will be provided specific for industrial equipment, quality standards, material handling needs and safety.

Job Summary:
Perform a variety of tasks surrounding the set-up and operation of a machine that applies a dust jacket to the outside of a book. The position also directs the workers on this machine.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Read job tickets and follow instructions.
Set up and operate the jacket and carton machine according to job specifications, along with all safety, quality, productivity, and other bindery processes.
Supervise the crew for safety, quality and machine productivity.
Perform preventative maintenance measures as assigned.
Perform General Worker duties when not assigned to operate a machine.
Safety- Complies with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Monitors machine for hazards and reports any safety related concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively to all work groups.
Ability to read, do basic math and work with basic tools (screw drivers, wrenches, etc).
Basic computer skills to work with Windows type applications.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to do basic trouble shooting when the equipment is not functioning.
High School diploma or GED.
