COMMUNICATION REGARDING TEST INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK Position is responsible for the SKILLED operation of a Lowboy, and other heavy equipment used in maintenance, repair, and construction of large complex drainage projects primarily to load and unload equipment.. May also operate a Flusher Truck, Excavator/Dozer, Gradall and Tandem Dump. Applicants must be able to independently operate the equipment. Work of this class is distinguished from that of Equipment Operator III by the type of equipment operated, the skill level required by the job assignment, and the frequency of operation of the assigned equipment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school and experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment similar to those types listed herein, including experience in precision work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION Possession of a Class A commercial driver's license with airbrake, combination and tanker endorsements as issued by the State of Louisiana. Applicants must have at least a valid Commercial Driver's License or CDL permit to apply and test, but must obtain a Louisiana Class A CDL with endorsements, prior to hire. TYPE OF EXAMINATION Examination will be a performance test on the Lowboy Truck and maneuvering an Excavator/Dozer.
