Ensure all irrigation systems are operable & appropriately hydrating the various aggregates. Ensure plant/yard housekeeping is appropriate to include shoveling, sweeping, and washing down the yard frequently. Ensure all appropriate EPA guidelines are followed and yard up to appropriate regulatory standards. Assist Plant Supervisor with monthly inventory. With direction from Plant Supervisor, coordinate the traffic flow of the yard. Ensure haulers are placing materials in appropriate areas. Ensure haulers are rendering tickets in the batch house. Must be able to travel within the delivery area to other plant locations. Ability to safely offload rail cars. Thalle is currently seeking experienced and motivated candidates to fill multiple Heavy Equipment Operators positions at our project located in Belle Glade, Fl. You will work closely with and support the operations team, interact with a variety of staff at all levels and uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Operate various types and sizes of power construction equipment such as dozers, tractors, scrapers, loaders, motor graders to excavate, move dirt and grade jobsite · Operate self-propelled steel-wheeled, rubber tired, vibrator, segmented or other type roller to compact subgrade. · Follow all company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, equipment, potential obstructions · Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions of on-site management · Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements · Move and/or load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders etc. · Must be capable and willing to maintain/grease equipment · Must be willing to complete manual labor when not operating equipment · Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent · Minimum two (2) years construction experience · Ability to receive written or oral instructions · Establish and maintain effective working relationship with office and field personnel · Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others Physical Requirements: · Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. · Work long shifts with non-standard break times · Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements. · Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times. · Able to work in confined or enclosed spaces · Able to sit for long periods of time · Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots. · Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more) · Able to Enter the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet (or more) off the ground · Able to sit in the operator's seat of equipment and safely reach all pedals, switches, levers, buttons, etc. required to safely operate the equipment (if authorized for that piece of equipment) · Capable of sitting in the operator's seat of equipment and have an adequate field of vision of all instruments, gauges, warning lights, as well as an acceptable field of vision out of the windows and/or mirrors (if authorized for that piece of equipment) · Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. · Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards · Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
