Summary
Produces machined parts by operating a Lathe computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
Inspects products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet specifications, complying with established standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation and calibration
Follow all job work order instructions
Must be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permits
Complete all required shop floor documentation for the job including both part dimensional and visual inspection
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reports to management/maintenance the need for machine repairs
Understands and complies with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent

In this role you will get to:
Machine Setup: Prepare and set up the UV print machine by loading the appropriate inks, calibrating the print heads, and adjusting machine settings to match the printing requirements.
Material Handling: Load and position the printing substrates onto the machine's bed, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate printing. Stack and label finished product for transit in house.
Printing Operations: Operate the UV print machine to apply UV-curable inks onto the substrates, ensuring the correct colors, saturation, and resolution as per customer orders. Input instructions to program automated machinery, using a computer.

Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including graphic designers, supervisors, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production flow and meet customer requirements.
Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
Monitor inventory of materials and supplies to ensure continual printer operation.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve machining processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 months of experience with a UV Printer or any Industrial printing equipment in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect parts produced.
Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Technical secondary education is preferred. Additional technical education or vocational training in printing or graphic arts is a plus.
Have basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products.
Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.
Basic understanding of blueprints, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.
The job may involve standing for extended periods and lifting/moving printing substrates (up to 50 pounds).
Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our growing production team. Experience with digital printing equipment, graphics programs, or related printing technologies is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Operate DTF Printing Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and operate DTF printers and associated machinery to produce high-quality transfers. Monitor print jobs and cut and organize transfers while the machine is in operation.
Design File Preparation: Review and prepare artwork files for printing, ensuring proper formatting and color accuracy.
Heat Press Application: During peak seasons transfer printed designs onto garments using heat press equipment, maintaining consistency and quality.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on printers to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring they meet ShirtHub's quality standards.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of printing supplies, including films, inks, and powders.
Collaboration: Work closely with the design and fulfillment teams to coordinate production schedules and meet client deadlines. Keep completed rolls organized and prepare for shipping.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
Experience: We are open to training motivated candidates without prior experience, however familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and RIP software for print preparation is a plus but not required.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for color accuracy, alignment, and print quality.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving printing technologies.

What You Need to Bring to the UV Print Operator Role:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in printing or graphic arts preferred
2+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 months with UV printers
Ability to read and follow instructions, operate machinery safely, and inspect parts for quality
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Basic computer and data entry proficiency (Epicor experience a plus)
Understanding of blueprints, mechanical or electrical assembly, and color management
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment physical and drug test
Effective communication and teamwork skills
