Position Summary:
The order picking position is responsible for the picking and delivering of material to work centers. Primary duties can include, picking, consolidation of material, moving things in the companies ERP system and strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) created for picking and processing of products through the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work within & according to all company safety and health guidelines.
* Perform daily maintenance and inspection of the forklift or equipment assigned to use.
* Carry out the required SOPs for the proper receipt, storage and issuing of materials.
* Pick and deliver orders according to the shop order to the designated work center.
* Consolidate pallets to better utilize warehouse space.
* Utilize and update the company's ERP system as defined by SOPs.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Use effective communication skills amongst all team members.
* Operate a standard industrial fork truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
* Perform cycle counting and inventory reconciliation daily.
* Complete any other related duties required and/or assigned by supervisor or manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience.
* Previous forklift certification.
* Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck or picker.
* Possess strong attention to detail.
* Ability to perform basic math functions.
* Basic computer skills needed to work within company ERP system.
* Possess basic problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate verbally & electronically.
* Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence.
* Self-driven and safety minded.
* Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

Counting of product based on customer order quantities
Use of RFT & WMS system to process orders
Perform cycle counts as assigned
Tracks / reports internal errors as required by leadership
Sort product packed to ensure it is routed for correct shipping method
Perform Value Added Services (VAS) to ensure product is labeled per customer requirements
Use of Time Management System (Kronos) to track work performed and area assigned
Understanding of basic product knowledge such as insert, tool holder, drills, screws, etc.
Follow all required company policies, warehouse, safety, environmental & ISO procedures
Willingness and ability to move to areas assigned by supervisor/team lead based on business needs

What Are the Requirements of the Job?
Must be at least 18 years of age
HS Diploma
