**About the Role:**
The Material Handler position at the Manawa location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
+ Operate standard and non-standard counterbalance lift equipment, turret truck lift equipment, pallet wrap equipment, weight scales, battery changing equipment, and other equipment as needed

Position Responsibilities:
Operates powered industrial trucks or hand trucks and move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
Unload packages from incoming trucks.
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.).
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as receiving/shipping clerk or similar position.
Experience in operating powered industrial trucks.
Self-starter, who can plan, prioritizes, manage time efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Experienced working with computers and handling paperwork.
Understands and practices Quality System Requirements and documentation (e.g. applicable inspection, verification and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process).
ERP system knowledge.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
Basic math and reading skills are required.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

1st Shift Materials Handler III

QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. A valid Tyco fork lift/over-the-road driver's license is required. Significant knowledge of the material movement transactions in the sap system is required. Reads bills of lading, packing lists and bills of material are required. Judgment is used to store parts to determine correct or optimal locations for parts, correct stack height of parts. Production priorities for line are self-determined by material handler. Instrumental in time, space and action planning in order to anticipate production needs. Input to management regarding system improvements or operating methods improvements. HazMat Training and Certification (within 6 months)
DUTIES
Following verbal instructions and using own independent judgment, transports with a lift truck supplies and finished materials by visually checking load or weigh counting. Record data on material completion, CNS removal, or transfer tickets with the use of a scanner or other means. Verifies the correct counts and part numbers. Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars by hand or with a forklift. Verifies count, type and condition of material received from fabrication or trucking firms. Reports type and quantity of damaged material received for items shipped directly to assembly area. Notates damage on receiving slips for material control, and completes a shortage/damage report. Receives in-coming materials, parts and supplies from outside vendors. Must verify quantity on packing slip. Uses bar code scanner and printer to properly receive, identify and distribute to appropriate storage location. Must be knowledgeable of the safety procedures for handling hazardous substances such as acids and caustics. Moves scrap from production or assembly areas to storage location with lift truck. Maintains inventory records of scrap. Verifies counts or weigh counts material. Issues parts and supplies from cribs as needed and fills out proper forms. Visually counts or weigh counts material. Orders inventory for production areas when needed from warehouse. Operates a truck for transporting material and products between warehouse and other locations when necessary. Unloads flat bed and boxcars. Performs minor maintenance on trucks and performs maintenance and safety checks on forklifts and fills out record sheets. When necessary, fills LP gas tanks. Conducts daily inventories to assure proper materials are available to support production requirements. Assist in annual inventory in warehouses and other factory locations. Maintains housekeeping and orderliness in assigned areas, performs and completes the 5's assignments. Works with supervisor to determine the most efficient method of material storage. Must know the proper methods in loading and unloading semi-trailers and vans to minimize damage. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

About the Role:
The Material Handler position at the Manawa location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
* Operate standard and non-standard counterbalance lift equipment, turret truck lift equipment, pallet wrap equipment, weight scales, battery changing equipment, and other equipment as needed
* Train for the use of warehouse management system including the operation of computers, scanners, and printers.
* Support production lines by delivering production materials and moving finished product and scrap to the appropriate areas
This full-time role pays $23.24 per hour on our Yellow Days 2-2-3 shift in SSB. Hours are 5:00am-5:00pm.
