POSITION OVERVIEW The Material Handler plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials at Spika, supporting both production efficiency and inventory accuracy. Responsible for receiving, stocking, and organizing materials, the Material Handler also prepares kits for production, conducts inventory counts, and assists with supply chain activities. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting custom manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Material Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming materials, inspect them for quality and accuracy against orders, and report any discrepancies or damages promptly. Stocking and Organization: Stock materials in designated locations, ensuring inventory is organized for easy access and replenishment in alignment with production needs. Production Kit Preparation: Assemble and prepare material and/or raw material kits for production teams, ensuring all necessary components are included, labeled as required, and meet quality and specification standards. Inventory Counts and Audits: Assist with regular inventory counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy and identify potential issues proactively. Supply Chain Support: Assist with various supply chain activities as needed, including packing and labeling shipments, tracking material usage, and supporting supply chain documentation requirements. Adapting to Changes: Initiate change orders when a problem is identified, and respond to change orders as required. Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements in material handling and inventory processes to streamline operations and reduce waste.
