Job Description • Operate grain cleaning and milling equipment to produce optimum performance in yield, capacity and quality. • Check and adjust equipment on a constant basis to account for changes in grain and other variables, to ensure that the milling units are performing at peak efficiency at all times. • Collect samples and analyze all data provided by laboratory and make decisions on whether you need to make adjustments to mill, make calls to personnel from other departments, or other appropriate action to minimize and control product that is out of specification. • Direct the loading of millfeed and screenings trucks and if necessary, railcars. • Responsible for the preventive maintenance program on the grain handling equipment. Including performing routine maintenance and minor repair. Assisting and performing routine maintenance and minor repair as directed by the miller. • Responsible for the sanitation program of all of the grain handling system. Fill in on plant sanitation projects on an as needed basis. • Set up, adjust, and operate the grain tempering system on an as needed basis. Assists in the flour milling process as an operator of the mill on an on-call basis. Fills in as required on the flour packing and bulk load-out system as an operator on an as needed basis. Position Summary Coordinate off-loading with crafts and quality control for controlled materials. Place materials in proper area according to storage and handling lists to initiate storage. Change forms and document new location when necessary. Load, unload and move material within or near warehouse or worksite. Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand or fork lift. Be the primary trainer for new employees. Role Responsibilities Inspect and maintain storage yards and warehouses for cleanliness, etc. and report problems to the supervisor. Issue material by field requisition, locate and distribute material as directed by craft foreman and direct supervisor. Ensure documentation is complete and accurate and check other employees' paperwork for errors before completion Identify materials and items being received or shipped and ensure they are the correct items Maintain accurate records for any and all inventory transactions Move materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas, using a hand truck or power device. Locate and prepare materials for outbound shipment and notify the supervisor when the shipment is ready. Load and unload materials within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material. Coordinate and perform shipment loading and complete required paperwork. Perform additional assignments per the supervisor's request. May require delivering material to job sites as needed; acceptable Motor Vehicle Report required for this task. Aid in directing crew in daily tasks and special projects. Responsible for training new hires on all aspects of the job. Art Handler/Driver, Denver UOVO, the nation's leading storage and services provider for art, archives, and collectibles seeks an Art Handler/Driver to join its dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the art world, storage/collection management knowledge, and will be comfortable moving a wide range of art objects. The Art Handler/Driver will report to the Technical Services Supervisor. Core Responsibilities Proper handling of art objects, using the appropriate methods and materials for packaging, loading & securing for safe transport Install/de-install artworks in-house or at offsite locations, often troubleshooting and utilizing critical thinking to solution scope changes Preparation and careful execution of paperwork, including bills of lading, labels, driver logs, and detailed condition reports with accompanying photos if necessary Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities Pack artworks for local, national and international transportation and storage Maintain compliance with all local, state, DOT regulations Support to internal teams, as needed Weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be necessary; therefore, schedule flexibility is required Other projects as assigned by Manager Qualifications & Skills Team Player, able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and dynamic environment Demonstrated knowledge of installation, packing and art handling Excellent communication and attention to detail to both clients and coworkers Ability to problem solve and solution onsite issues with the experience to know when to escalate problems to supervisor Valid driver's license; CDL license a bonus Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment This in-person position requires on-site presence at UOVO's Denver facility five days a week with occasional requests to work nights and on weekends.
