This position will require the safe operation of both forklift and overhead crane routinely moving loads under 5ton and less than 30 foot in length. They will help support the demands of the operation with minimal guidance. It is a requirement of the position to obtain and maintain clearance to operate both forklifts and cranes. Essential Responsibilities + Preform daily crane and forklift safety inspections + Ensure daily refuse route is clear + Unloading of material delivery trucks utilizing forklifts and overhead crane + Marking all inbound materials with identifying information for traceability + Relocating and storing inbounds materials throughout the operation + Removing remnant materials to the proper area for vendor pick up + Assisting with loading outgoing product or raw materials + Assist or preform daily inventory cycle counts + Understanding of manufacturing process and the materials produced in department to support process. + Perform tasks to company standards and meet department goals. + Take initiative to improve methodology and find solutions to boost productivity. + Communicate with management. + Manage priorities as they change throughout a shift. Complete allocated work in a timely manner. + Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including rigging, tools, and equipment. + Assist other departments as needed + Organize and manage raw material areas; Warehouse, Shed, Material racks, Overstock areas.
