    SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Facilities Management Foreman, responsible for painting of construction and renovation projects, staining of cabinets, tables, etc., constructed by the carpentry department, repainting of existing surfaces. The core Success Factors include: Instill Trust and Value Differences Patient and Community Focus and Collaborate RESPONSIBILITIES: Orders paint and related supplies needed for painting throughout the hospital.Paint new construction or renovations projects and repaint existing surfaces as needed.Mixes paint to match existing surfaces for repainting when necessary.Cleans and maintains painting equipment.Maintain records of existing painted surface colors.Patch holes and apply drywall compound, sand and prepare for painting on newly constructed or repaired walls.Works with the Facilities Management Foreman and/or Facilities Management Site Manager to determine causes of paint problems, such as coverage, peeling, blistering, etc.Maintains quality assurance, safety, environment and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies, procedures and objectives.Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established Bradley Hospital, Facilities Management department policy and the Fleet Risk Control policy and procedures.Must have good driving record, meet and maintain the appropriate and valid driver's license in order to operate motor vehicles as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, and in accordance with the Brown University Health Fleet Risk Control policy.Performs other related duties as required. Workspace is covered but may involve various weather conditions such as heat and cold as well as safety hazards due to the nature of work. May experience loud noise on a regular basis. Medium/Heavy Work-Will lift over 50 pounds with assistance device required and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as needed. This position will require the employee to be standing for prolonged periods of time. This position requires the ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis. This position involves repetitive motion. This position requires the ability to talk and hear. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or the equivalent and two-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
