As part of the Telecare family, the Riverside County Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) is licensed as a 59-bed sub-acute residential program located in Riverside, CA. The program provides longer-term mental health recovery services 24/7/365 within a supportive, structured, and secure inpatient environment designed to help clients prepare to move to the community and/or lower levels of care. Shifts Available: On-Call | Shifts vary as needed | Days vary as needed | Hours vary as needed Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $23.09. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. POSITION SUMMARY The Lead Recovery Specialist II ensures the completion of duties of clinical staff by supporting and clarifying Recovery Specialist and Peer Support Specialist roles. The position provides direct services and works with program leadership in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and services with the primary focus on meeting the physical and psychological needs of members served in a manner consistent with Rehabilitation and Recovery principles. This is a 24-hour County-owned Restorative Transformation Center (RTC), Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) (also referred to as RTC/MHRC) specializing in serving people who have been identified as being Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) or are otherwise court ordered to treatment at this level of care. Services will be provided for a maximum of 30 residential beds, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (24/7). The 30 beds can be used for male and female clients interchangeably. A maximum of 20 beds are specific for IST consumers identified by Superior Court, Riverside Sheriff's Office (RSO), or Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH) teams. Ten beds are designated for consumers needing residential services with a secondary focus on consumers under Laura's Law/AOT, and Other RUHS-BH and Superior Court Diversion Programs. Shifts Available: * 32 Hours Per week, AM Shift Expected starting wage range is $33.53 - $41.39. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. Ensure center materials and furniture are safe and developmentally appropriate. Monitor and ensure the center indoor and outdoor environments are healthy and safe including office areas, classrooms, outdoor areas, and common areas for center staff and families. Ensure center staff adhere to the Suspected Child Abuse Reporting policies, procedures, and accurate documentation. Ensure timely and complete reporting of all Unusual Incidents, Ouch reports, or other time- sensitive reports. Collaborate with Vista Village specialist service area staff to lead and oversee the implementation of a tailored, comprehensive service approach that supports the unique needs of the center, each classroom, and every individual child. Leverage established tools and reports to effectively oversee key components of center operations, including child developmental assessments, teacher-child interactions, environmental quality measures, lesson planning, and professional development initiatives. Read, analyze, and interpret data from DRDPs and Environmental Rating Tools to create child- and center-specific goals. Oversee comprehensive digital documentation processes: Ensure accurate and timely entry of key data-including coaching outcomes, child assessments (DRDPs), environmental ratings, and attendance-into agency systems like ChildPlus and CareConnect. Use data to support program monitoring, compliance, and continuous improvement. Ensure implementation of the program's Transition Plan for children and families. Implement the Federal Performance Standards for Children with Disabilities in the Head Start Program with assistance and input from the Disability Specialist. As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, oversee the implementation of each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP)/Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) and participate in case conferencing, as needed. Participate in internal and external audits and reviews, including those related to EHS and CCTR programs. Provide program tours to prospective families and community stakeholders. Create meaningful opportunities for parent involvement and classroom participation by implementing the parent education curriculum in collaboration with family engagement staff. Coordinate parent groups, workshops, and family engagement events to strengthen home-school connections and support family learning. Build strong relationships with families, address their concerns, and involve them in their child's care and education. Approve teacher conference forms and attend parent-teacher conferences for enrolled children as needed. Collaborate with families and teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans that address learning and/or behavioral challenges. Oversee the implementation of individualized transition plans. Provide leadership and guidance in the development and execution of transition strategies for children moving between classrooms or progressing to kindergarten. This position provides education and support to members served and their families. Facilitate SUD assessments and counsel students in identifying triggers, patterns of use, relapse risks, and healthy coping strategies. Offer support in recovery, SUD education and relapse prevention to student families/caregivers. Provide case management services to students and families/caregivers helping them understand substance use dynamics and engage in the student's recovery process. Provide referrals to outside treatment providers, medical professionals, and support networks. Participate in Student Support Team meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan meetings when relevant. Maintain timely and confidential documentation for assessments, treatment planning, service notes, and progress reports. Demonstrate an understanding and practice of SUD treatment modalities including strength-based, MI, and CBT treatment modality models while incorporating trauma-informed, and culturally/LGBTQ sensitive approach in working with youth. Ability to work independently within a school system, adapt services to meet student needs in an academic environment, and to engage and support diverse student populations.
