JOB SUMMARY
The Relationship Banker is responsible for providing outstanding client service while performing a variety of savings, checking and credit account transactions, as well as services for cashier's checks, etc. Recognizes needs-based selling opportunities to enhance and strengthen the Bank's relationship with the client. Assists in branch balancing duties, contact to other departments for situational resolutions, and other branch-related tasks. Level II handles account opening/closing and maintenance of accounts.
DUTIES
Level I
Welcomes all clients to the bank as they enter and escorts them to a work area to complete their transaction.
Processes clients' deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, loan & cash advances, cashier's checks, and other routine requests.
Provides clients with necessary information and troubleshoots client issues.
Becomes familiar with clients' resources to be able to assist clients.
Assists clients with access to safety deposit boxes and address changes.
Level II (Includes Level I Duties)
Troubleshoots issues with debit cards, online banking, & account issues.
Collects information for outgoing wire transfers.
Balances and maintains ATM.
Opens personal and business accounts for new and existing clients.
Closes accounts (including IRAs & HSAs).
Performs follow-up with clients.
Assumes responsibility for account maintenance.
Performs cash vault duties, including balancing.
Assists in cash needs for co-workers and branch.
Processes client account changes.
Assists in the opening and closing duties and operations of a branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer challenges.
Understand and educate customers on consumer deposit and lending products.
Drive sales with a disciplined sales process and use current banking technology to drive both sales and service.
Obtain referrals from customers, other bank colleagues and partners while educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
Adhere to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
Demonstrate good judgement in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication and presentation.
Process customer day-to-day transactions as needed.
Opens new personal and business accounts in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position. Complete all required reports related to those acts and reports any observed violations or potential violations of those acts to a supervisor or other appropriate bank officer.
Be familiar with and comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable.

Key Accountabilities
Assists with Commercial Support and Administrative Needs

Prepares loan requests utilizing required forms or the Commercial Online Application (CML) software. Submits applications to the Loan Fulfillment team for further input and processing.
Reviews and manages open applications in CML for assigned RMs.
During the underwriting and pre-closing phase, collaborates with Underwriting teams and Loan Fulfillment to obtain any missing client information (financials, entity documentation, signers, etc.).
Coordinates loan closings and attends loan closings to perform Notary services.
Submits closed loan packet to Loan Fulfillment for funding and booking.
Assists with Portfolio and Credit Administration
Utilizes the Power BI software to provide assigned RMs with pipeline, portfolio, production and credit information.
Tracks upcoming loan maturities and contacts clients to request financial information as needed.
Assists in clearing past due financials, post-closing exceptions, and trailing documents.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate's degree in Administrative Services/Business or equivalent experience required.
Minimum three years of administrative and/or banking experience preferred; 1+ years of experience working with commercial processes.
Ability to communicate with clients and key decision makers effectively and independently.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Essential Job Functions
Maintain working knowledge of and aggressively promote credit union products/services at every opportunity, to include completing outbound calls, making referrals that result in new services to new/existing members. Complete Sales Plus logs.
Perform duties necessary to order and maintain department office supplies and supplies in individual work area. Prepare workstation daily and keep workstation organized. Process mail distribution (incoming/outgoing).
