Inventory: aid in the process of inventory validation as needed. X. Variances with inventory validate along with manager of inventory and finance any variances. XI. C2- all C2 prescriptions must be counted by a technician and then recounted by a pharmacist. C2 count one section per week or delegate to another pharmacist and record in controlled substance log. XII. Other activities as determined by management.

Overview
The Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient drug therapy for our pediatric patient population. Reviews medication orders and profiles for allergies, interactions, contraindications, drug incompatibilities, therapeutic duplications and appropriateness of drug therapy.
Regularly consults with prescribers concerning drug availability, formulary status, proper drug use, side effects and incompatibilities. Obtain clarifications or suggestions for changes or additions to medication orders.
Reviews laboratory data and suggests changes to medication therapy when appropriate.
Formulates clinical interventions and consults with practitioners to create an appropriate medication regimen. Documents all interventions.
Reviews Admission and Discharge Medication Reconciliation to ensure accuracy at transitions of care.
Detects, monitors, documents, and reports adverse drug reactions and medication errors.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform Drug Utilization Review (DUR) for patient prescription management.

Required Skills & Qualifications
* Active NJ Pharmacist License (mandatory).
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school (PharmD preferred).
* Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience (preferred).
* Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, prescription management, and dispensing guidelines.
* Proficiency in order entry, claims processing, labeling, insurance coordination, and healthcare support.

Job DescriptionSalary: $20-$24
The compounding technician is responsible for overseeing processes in the production of compounded non-sterile drugs while strictly adhering to company policies and procedures as well as USP.
Assists pharmacists with overseeing daily operations of the pharmacy
Assists pharmacists with compounding on non-sterile drugs
Comply with New York State and USP regulations, and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy such as by cleaning work areas, surfaces and sterilizing equipment.
Support pharmacists in compounding medications (emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments), completing daily Compounder To-Do list and scheduled Simplify tasks
Assist pharmacists in product ordering by monitoring bulk chemical inventory and alerting pharmacist of items to be ordered
Return all chemicals to stock location; wipe everything clean prior to replacing
Maintain appropriate records of chemicals used
Wash and sterilize glassware and equipment daily
Assist in end of day tasks (i.e., packing, garbage, and filing)
Monthly inspection of expired chemicals, includes discarding expired meds, wiping down rolling shelves, restocking in alphabetical order
Finish and sign logs daily
All other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelors degree in science related field (Chemistry) preferred
Minimum (4) years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
Knowledge of PK Compounder Software preferred
